The Google Talk Gadget can be loaded into its own small browser window, so that it's always ready on your desktop. To pop out the gadget:
From your iGoogle page
If you've added the gadget to your iGoogle page, just click the Pop out link at the top right of the gadget. The gadget will load in its own window. Any chats that are active in your iGoogle page version will not be transferred to your pop-out instance of Talk.
From the Google Talk homepage
Visit http://www.google.com/talk and click Launch Google Talk.
From your own webpages
We've created a button that you can add to your website, so that any visitor to your pages can launch the Google Talk Gadget pop-out. Simply add the following line of code to your page:
