Ben Stiller plays Ted, an ordinary loser who thinks he can get his life only he finds his old school love Mary (Cameron Diaz), all boys dream girl. Ted's decision to hire a private detective, Peter Healy (Matt Dillon) may be unexpected consequences. Pat finds true Mary, but falls himself head over heels for her and decides to lie to Ted. When Ted discovers the truth breaks out a hysterical war on Mary's love in which all means are permitted ...
