Alión stands as a pioneering and independent wine, a testament to the evolution of a renowned wine family. Its authenticity has earned recognition and admiration, embodying a universal spirit focused on the future. Crafted from the finest red grapes, the hand-harvested fruit undergoes meticulous selection before fermentation in wood tanks. This process ensures optimal polyphenolic extraction for the wine's rich color and firm structure. Maturation takes place in new French oak Bordeaux barrels for 12 to 14 months, followed by a minimum of 15 months in bottle, allowing the wine to harmonize its primary fruit aromas with delicate aging nuances. The result is a complex, intense, and elegant wine, where sophistication is a defining characteristic of the winery.
Aroma of ripe red fruits with fine spicy touches and cabinetry tips. The passage through the mouth is fine, elegant, and ends with great unctuosity. It is a tasty, roasted, balanced and elegant wine.
The harvest is done manually and before entering the fermentation tanks a second selection is made. The fermentation is carried out for 15 days in American oak barrels, at a temperature of approximately 32 degrees.
The soils are deep and have good drainage. They alternate thick and fine materials with pieces of quartzite rock that dragged the Douro River.
