Cub or lo-boy?

I'm having somewhat of an identity crisis. Is my cub a cub or a lo-boy? The serial number plate says F Cub. Would it say lo-boy if it was?

Here's my 57 Loboy with Bushhog 412 mower for comparison. LoBoy front spindles are about 8 inches tall compared to a regular FCUB which is about 15 inches. More ID information at the top of the page, look at Serial #'s. Stan

A lo-boy should have a plate on the dogleg that says lo-boy. Two easy sight checks:

If the front axle is level with or below the top of the front tire, she is a lo-boy; if it is above the top of the tire she is a regular Cub.

If the center of the rear wheel is in front of of the rear axle, she is a lo-boy. If the center is below the rear axle, she is a Cub.

Depends on the year. In the mid/late 1960s, at first glance the two are nearly identical. If you didn't have one sitting beside the other, and the emblems/decals/serial number plates were missing, you'd have to look a little closer to tell them apart.
