How to fertilize Mimosa Strigillosa
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Mimosa Strigillosa after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

I’m so happy she’s growing, but why is she so leggy? She’s between north and east facing windows, and has grow lights for when it’s not a great day. I water her based on the schedule on here

What are these black dots on my sensitive plant?? So I have a sensitive plant, which is doing fine, and need constant watering. It has grown a lot and has a lot of flowers at the moment and seems to be doing really well. However I noticed today that a lot of the leaves have heaps of tiny black dots on them, they aren’t bugs or anything, it’s actually in the leaf. I’m not sure what they are or if it is even harmful. I water it every 3 - 4 days as it needs wet soil otherwise the leaves die and it is in direct sunlight all day. Any advice as to what this is?

I’m sure it’s too late, but I just had to post this #BeforeAndAfter ! If anyone is looking for a fun, quirky plant to grow from seed, try a Mimosa. The flowers look like pink puffs (think Horton Hears a Who) and you don’t have to wait long to see them. If you touch the leaves, they will close. And if you touch a stem, the whole thing drops and plays dead! Plus, it does great in a self watering planter. I planted the seeds at the end of May this year. Here’s a link if anyone is interested: Outsidepride Mimosa Pudica... https://

What are these?!!? HOW DO I GET RID OF THEM Ok so i went on a holiday and came home to my plant absolutely COVERED in these tiny white bugs, they have created little webs everywhere and have stopped the new growth from coming through. This plant was next to a bunch of other plants and now all of them have some of these little bugs on them just not as bad as this plant. What are they? What do i do? How do i get rid of them? #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #help #bugs

Losing all his leaves 😭 I need assistance.. I really love this one honestly and I'm at a loss he lost all his leaves and I'm scared I might've killed him or am doing something to get to that. He's maybe overwatered a little could that be it? Maybe I should check his roots.. I'm so scared to mess this up. #SensitivePlant #happyplants #sadplant #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #newplantmom #plantcorner
