After calling x3 to this location to see what type of breakfast was had...I was told each time: cheese egg omelets and sausage. My friend and I wake up to find that eggs were NOT on the menu. Strike 1!
My friend and I wake morning of Sunday March 6th to blood stains on our sheets. Gross! I mention it to front desk, supervisor comes up to take a look. Her response? Gets all defensive and says "these blood stains are fresh, we would never put anybody in a room with a dirty sheet like this, ya these blood stains are fresh. Translation? Ie supervisor was pointing the finger at us. Doesn't seem like Manger is willing to do ANYTHING about it!
Strike 2!
Minor issues: hallway smelt like weed. Dirty elevator which had food wedged between the corners. Strike 3!
Do not stay here!
Staff is rude, place is unsanitary.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jimmy H.Stonehaven, Charlotte, NC782Oct 31, 2023
I had the pleasure of staying here this past Sunday. The Staff and the service was amazing. The bed was very comfortable. It's very close to public transportation also. If I could give it 10 stars I would. I will definitely be coming back soon.

Its a Best Western, there are standards and procedures for this reliable hotel chain. And for only $110/night on a Friday its really hard to complain about anything.
PROS:
-Friendly Staff, they even let me store my luggage.
-Free airport shuttle...how nice is that?
-Spacious and clean room and bathroom.
-Comfy bed,Coffee Maker, Microwave And Refrigerator
-Conveniently near the light rail system.
-Continental Breakfast...though I was too hungover and overslept to see what it was all about.
CONS:
-Hotel is a little older.
-Room initially smelled heavily of cleaning products...at least that's a good sign right?Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0 - Kristen W.Fayetteville, NC3132Mar 17, 2023
Last night our group of 12 was stranded in Charlotte for the night. I can't say enough about Helenia and how wonderful she was to us. After securing us 6 rooms very quickly and with a sweet smile and wonderful attitude, she made sure we had dinner options and that we were all set for the evening. She was just fabulous and we we're so grateful

Honestly, for a best western I thought it was amazing. The lady at the front desk was so helpful and accommodating it made it feel like home..they even have a shuttle to take to airport 10 min away.

I'm a veteran/platinum member of Best Western hotels. This place is absolutely the worst I've ever experienced by a longshot. The staff are friendly and accommodating which is the only saving grace for this property.
Breakfast was standard Best Western fare -- nothing spectacular but it will get you out the door for the day. Martha in the breakfast room is a gem and took care of everyone straggling in late and stayed to make sure they still had what they wanted before shutting down operations. She knew I was traveling with my teenage son who couldn't get his act together to get to breakfast on time but she always asked about him to make sure I had a plate put together for him before she put everything away.
The lobby and entry are nice but it goes downhill like a runaway freight train from there.
There are holes in the furniture dirty upholstery. The other furniture is superbly tatty with worn finishes you'd like you'd expect to see at a garage sale. Every outlet in the rooms was loose and wouldn't hold a basic power brick. Then there's bed bugs to round out the fun.
They've updated the bathroom sink and vanity but that's it. The old toilets are water hogs and the ancient tile grout is grubby.
The wifi was an utter joke. I certainly don't have high expectations for hotel wifi in general but it was completely useless here. The fitness room was mediocre at best and very grungy. The ice machine was falling apart.
During my stay I had to call the authorities for a brewing altercation in the parking lot between hotel clients and patrons of the neighboring Burger King. I'm not one to readily phone the authorities but I had to in this case. People were going to get hurt. It was super intense.
If you have the ability, avoid this property and this area in general. The location is outrageously noisy -- sirens and trains all night. It doesn't feel even remotely safe. I wasn't at all certain my rental car would be there when we emerged each morning.
Not being familiar with the area was a huge disadvantage in this case. For the quality of the room and property, this place is way overpriced. Pay a few more bucks for a better location in the Charlotte area, even if just for safety's sake.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 1075236630207Jul 30, 2017
My stay at this Best Western Plus was positive, and I'd certainly consider future stays in the chain now that I've experienced the level of quality and affordable rate.
I checked in late on a Friday, so the rate was around $115 via Expedia, but the Saturday night was only $89 when booked through the hotel itself, which was really nice and surprising for a weekend. The hotel is situated in a busy section of Charlotte near lots of shops and eateries.
Bojangles is across the street for late-night cravings, and it's only a 12-minute walk (4-minute drive) to a line of two breweries, a cidery, a distillery, a cocktail bar, and a bar bowling alley! The path was a little sketchy and was next to train tracks, but I did it by myself and survived, so that's a plus. It's also easy to access the highway and attractions like the Billy Graham Library and the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market. Overall: Top-notch location all around.
I had a king-sized room, which came with a mini fridge. I didn't hear noise for the most part, except for Saturday night around 3 a.m. when a rowdy group exited the elevator, which was directly next to my room but away from the bed.
The whole stay was comfortable, and the front desk (and night audit) staff were awesome. Super friendly and accommodating. My only qualm would be the complimentary breakfast. I looked at it prior to check out and didn't see a single thing I'd want to grab. It needs a little boost.
Otherwise, my stay was pleasant and it's a worthy hotel at the right price.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Oct 20, 2019
Hello my fellow yelpers!! My stay at this Best western was outstanding. The staff at the desk and in the breakfast area along with the maid service were all great. The hotel was clean and the rooms inside were as expected. The breakfast was as I always expect from best western...perfect. Why 4 stars? Because the outside appearance and the hotel location weren't deserving of this...but understand, I would not hesitate to stay here again and the price was right.

This is not a fancy hotel, but for the price and location, we were totally fine. We came to town for a comedy show on Saturday night and made a little weekend out of it. We were only at the hotel to sleep, and it served us just fine. Everything is outdated, but the bed sleeps well and the shower has hot water I actually was very happy with the service we received; the front desk attendants were very nice and pleasant upon check-in and check-out.

I gave this business $1600 after a two and half week stay I was kicked out. I didn't cause any problems at all. I was called to the front desk and I was told i had to leave because i had a guest stay overnight who brought their own pillows and on the way out they accused my friend of stealing the hotels pillows when my friend showed them the tags on the pillows and wasn't apologized to they just said oh okay and walked off. Then there was a homeless man sneaking in the hotel overnight every night. He was on some serious drugs and would put trash cans between the side doors propping them open so he could go in and out to his pleasing and then would sit in the hallway and shoot drugs up with needles and talk to himself. It was very unsafe and the worst customer service ever and I was kicked out for no reason and treated terribly. The manager was the worst he was rude and conceited and his words were "we don't need you here". DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. Save yourself the trouble. It's dirty unsafe and the only good part was two ladies who worked at the front desk who were sweet.
