Nasty place! They couldn't care less about how nasty their truck fuel islands are! Diesel fuel EVERYWHERE! It's rather obvious they've not pressure washed ANYTHING at any truck fuel island for quite some time. I've noticed recently that a lot of Flying J establishments are less than decent. GROSS AND BUYER BEWARE! Go somewhere else these people think we HAVE to buy fuel here. I'm done with Flying J, I'll make certain NOT to stop at Flying J anymore!

The staff seemed pleasant. The truck parking lot is fairly sizeable and has an interesting layout. It is kinda hidden from the exit so keep driving just a bit and watch the trucks exiting. The store and truckers area are...well, no nice way to say it....filthy. The womens restroom on the truckers side was just plain gross. I do not know what was on that toilet. Hopefully the restrooms on the Denny's side are better.... We may stop here again but won't utilize or buy much.
Update: The restrooms near Denny's were a little bit better, but there was still dried urine and other bodily fluids trailing down the outside of the tank to the floor. One soap dispenser was empty and overall still pretty gross.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sep 21, 2019
this is about two and a half stars but I'm leaving it at 2..
got stuck here for the weekend this is one of the old Flying J's when they had Travel centers originally built around America leaving out of Utah expanding..
it is definitely showing its age a lot of the amenities are really really not very good..the coffee was very disappointing how you don't realize you're selling one of your most biggest ones and you run out of the bean-to-cup Colombian beans and have to wait almost three days through a whole weekend for a truck shipment.. the half and half broke don't have any of that.
air conditioner in towards the back between the laundry room showers and truckers bathroom on a 95 degree day at school and the rest of the facility but back there where you really need it as it's a truck stop now Travel Center and it's hot back there kind of sucks..
the bathrooms are kept up though they do a good job they clean the garbage now they're sad part for truck drivers if you're coming to get fuel out of about 8 fuel islands almost five of the pumps are down.
as I said this is an old Flying J and its really showing its age unfortunately they did get a shop though for big trucks that's something that to do the last couple of years they never used to have.
but many of these ones are the original designed ones and they're definitely about 35 years old and they're showing no remodeling down here at a couple other ones to in North Carolina I've noticed also kind of let them go by the wayside..
as for The travelers the parking lot is very big for cars and RVs and the gas pumps are quite attractive for the traveling motorist the employees could use a little more customer service skills especially the day shift on the weekend.. the Friday night when I arrive till they were quite cordial..
this does have the full dinner options making meals which means you can also not just get your classic Hot bar Wings things but you can also get an addition to the fried fatty stuff there is the baked chicken the meatloaf the mashed potatoes and veggies...
apparently I didn't come on the greatest day though because my chicken was starting to get dried out the mashed potatoes were almost surely warm not hot the mac and cheese was good I ran to that problem earlier to when I had breakfast I had some of the oatmeal from the soup bar which is the oatmeal and gravy same thing in the mornings with biscuits.
but the oatmeal wasn't real hot it was kind of just warm or some reason they need to check their temperatures of their food a little more they're cooked don't get me wrong it's just said it's not hot like it should be..as I said this is one of the original Flying J's when they first started building TravelCenters expanding out of their home base at the time of Brigham City Utah and Ogden Utah by salt Lake City long before they merged with pilot.
this one had one of their original sit down restaurants called dad's it is a Denny's now and it's a very good then he's it will get a separate review but it's a very large one like a lot of the Flying J's but this one really needs a lot of work inside...
hopefully they'll get on it eventually be on their list for remodeling but then again you have to have better employees that show that they want to work at a place and not just do half a job which is what I ran into today..
I told her the oatmeal is cold she's like oh okay didn't really offer much more than that LOL...I will be posting a few more pictures later but to get stuck here for the weekend it has been cool at least in the evenings about 70° on the hot almost a hundred degrees during the day but it is what it is and it is South Georgia 50 miles south of Atlanta between Atlanta and Macon..
the only problem down here is a lot of the truck stops have fallen by the wayside the pilot across the highway along with the loves or not the greatest and again it lies within the employees what can look at the reviews and see that just like the TA has really fallen into disrepair it's a sad ta now and that's another shame to for some reason this Jackson eggs and I'm not too sure what the deal is what it comes to the truck stops and Travel centers...Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Robert H.Niles, IL05026Jan 3, 2022
I never thought I'd be reviewing a gas station/ traveler center. However if their was ever a stop on your way to hell... this travels center and Dennys would be it. Let me start by saying I work in service. The dennys is a shit show... people be ignored, orders getting screwed up. When I asked for hot sauce for my to go order, the guys goes I got you I'm going to hook you up. He grabbed a bottle from a table and gave me some nasty used bottle to take home. As for the actual traveler center. The bathrooms were nasty like they never get cleaned, the employees I came in contact with were kind of rude, they had no lids of any size for their coffee cups, and when I went to pump gas the pump I was using was broken in a way it pumped gas but you needed two hands in different places. I swear I was being pranked, it's a a traveler center near a highway. People pump gas, drink coffee, eat food, and use the bathroom... they fail on all aspects. Even if you have to push your car, push it past here. This place is a Nightmare.

Place is going downhill. Cashiers are always friendly. Pump Receipt Printers rarely work. The place is filthy now. Showers are just gross. Toilet dirty on arrival and shower walls covered in grime. Come on. It's bad enough what they charge for a shower, clean the damn thing!

I honestly walked in to use the bathroom and I had no issue. The bathrooms smelled great and the store seems to be in great condition. However there was nothing over the top that I could give a 5th star.

Half the pumps dont work and the ones that do are very slow. Skip this place & go to Pilot across the street.

Older station, kind of dirty. Pleasant cashiers but WAY too much time was spent on the whiskey-voiced female truck driver who couldn't figure out what kind of cigarettes she wanted & had the cashier hopping all around quibbling over pennies. When she FINALLY finished her transaction, she looked back, saw the line & proceeded to flirt with the cashier - 40 years her junior - telling him how looooonely she was going to be tonight... but I don't think he was interested. So give him an A+ for patience & kindness. Ladies restroom smelled like #2 & the tile walls & floors need power washing, especially inside the stalls = YUCK. Paper/soap products well stocked, but they don't even carry toilet seat covers. DEAR CORPORATE: Considering the clientele, this is a must. Your competitors have seen the light. NOTE ON GAS: 92 OCTANE is the highest grade available (Georgia goes as high as 93 Octane). Overall OK, I guess, but there are 3 other truck stops in the vicinity that are way better, imo.

We have stopped often at this truck stop over the past 30 years but we have been disappointed the past couple of times. The restrooms are clean but typically have at least one stall marked "out of order." I stopped by the drink service for iced tea and both tea dispensers were also "Out of order." So we left without spending a dime, thanks to their rundown facilities. Pilot, please update this Flying J facility or shut it down. As is, it only damages your brand.
