Flying J Travel Center

Ok quick review. I stopped at this location on a road trip and I will say the folks here are pretty friendly and hard working. When I stopped at 0200 local time, the mens restrooms weren't horrible, but they could stand to have a little attention. My guess is the overnight staff runs a little short handed and they were tending to a deep clean of the showers(which had signs displayed as being down until 0600). There is a Dennys on site, but they are closed during the overnight so plan accordingly. In the morning, the Flying J does have a selection of warm foods to grab in case the Dennys is closed.

Third time this year where I've come in and there is no hot food at this location, 3 slices of pizza is all that's left for hot foods. Get with the program flying J. It's 5:40pm and dinner time for us truck drivers. Currently driving east to Loves truck stop for food as I write this, they never disappoint.

Dirty. Dirty doors, dirty counters around coffee/drink area. Sink out of order. Bathroom(womens) could use a scrubbing. Why does someone always mount the tp dispenser on the side with the least amount of room? All said, it's somewhere to park.

I'm on a many week trip by car and can say this was easily the worst gas station I've experienced. Pumps don't work. Credit card readers on the pumps don't work, either. And the check out is blocked by a line of junk parallel with the counter that means customers can't line up to pay. I felt bad for the employees, figuring out where customers behind the line of junk wanted to check outage getting dragged outside to pretend to limp the few working pumps along.

Staff is very rude. Showers are tiny and very dirty along with the whole store. Never stopping here ever again.

Was expecting better from a Flying J.
Easy enough to fuel up the motorhome, but finding a place to park to stretch our legs and walk the labs is a different matter.
crazy uneven dirt parking area with huge potholes. Garbage, trash and drug paraphernalia scattered everywhere.
No comparison the the Flying J in Cheyenne.

they don't clean their showers at all. people took the showers they just not cleaned and there's a whole line of waiting people there. when i went to ask why aren't noone cleajing the lady said there a line but there like 10 empty ones with open doors and noone is there to clean them. and when the person showed up he started cleaning after everyone started complaining because it was over an hour of wait and noone got to shower yet. he started cleaning with the towls they give u to use they put them on the floor and mop with their feet towards the floor. what is that

By far the best cleanest and the best bathroom i have seen at any gas station. This is coming from a person who will do anything to avoid using the bathroom at a gas station. The customer service was also great! With them being so busy they were so friendly!

Flying J/Pilot racist employee:

The Dennys employees whose store is connected to this convenience store were extremely nice and polite, HOWEVER, this is a review about Pilot/Flying J. There was a black family in the store minding their own business as we were getting ready to exit the convenience store, but before we did, we overheard one of the Flying J employees (a lady) start being rude to the black family. One of the people who I assume was the father called her out on her rudeness and apparent racist remarks, and the employee started screaming for everyone in the convenience store (and Denny's) to hear, saying "I'm not racist! I have a niece who is half black! Stop lying! I didn't call you a n****r!" The man responded saying he was simply trying to purchase a few things and be on his way and that there was no reason for her to be rude and make racist remarks. The lady employee screamed at him to "get out of my store!" The black family left afterwards and they seemed upset when we walked out of the store.

Terrible, terrible experience with the employee at this place.

We just stopped to buy diesel fuel RV and gas for the car - what a tortuous process! I should have known better and continued on down the road as the following (or similar) has happened to me several times before at Flying J Travel Centers. The diesel and gas pumps (gas extremely slow) stopped at $75 and would not let us get any more because the our cards had already been used at that pump that day. The pumps were also out of receipt paper. I had to see the cashier to get more gas & diesel fuel. The wait was extremely long time due to many people in line to see the cashier as there was just one cashier handling ALL the registers for gas, diesel fuel, food, store items, carry-out, etc. etc. She was being run ragged. Everybody was PO'd. This is totally unacceptable.
