They don't speak English well nor do they understand it. They give you a wifi password but the wifi isn't connected lol no matter time of day it would be no connection. Pool was not warm as they said it would be. I brought my 3 dogs with me they reach have their own beds we use for camping or going to hotels from Arcadia trail very expensive very nice. U must put together and take apart after each use I'm super ocd so I am very much so a creature of habit. I always put all 3 beds together then I put all 3 carry-on bags that the beds come in together!!! I also made sure to put them in a drawer even room a pic of them in the drawer work the rest of our stuff. I do not know what happened but the night before we were checking out I got everything packed up including beds just so happend one of the carry-ons is gone!!! I went to the front desk he barely wanted to do anything I Basicly told him to go look n see if it was mixed up with the bedding from the room. Of course he didn't look im positive of that. I came around from a different entrance n caught him sitting on the couch eating chips drinking soda smh jumps up when he sees me and starts immediately making excuses. Mid morning the following day I spoke to Ravie the GM he called his house keeper lead they said they didn't take it but listed off a few things that weren't even in sight that were expensive that they could have taken and didn't. Prada intense perfume that was in a bag in a drawer why works they have any reason to go into my drawers the big bottle was still there the purse size bottle that fits easily in your pocket was gone!! The nineteen I switch was still there however it was plugged in and sitting in full view and a lil hard to steal in your pocket. I have no idea why they world be going thru my drawers and steal a carry-on bag for a dog bed for a ex large dog and a bottle of perfume. I could hear the lead house keeper saying why didn't they take the more expensive stuff smh really why say any of that at all. Why go thru my drawers at all?!
The GM was rude and stated his staff doesn't lie or steal lol I said view the cameras it's 130 dollar bed I carried 3 in all in carry on bags left with 2 and carrying one bed not taken apart. He said they didn't have cameras in the corridors. Well then why did the house keeper say check the cameras lol I stated that to him he hung up on me I called back multiple times cuz I'm pissed!! I can't even buy another carry-on bag I have to buy the whole bed smh I truly hate people like this.
Btw breakfast at 8am when I'd go down was always cold n mostly gone when it's supposed to be till 9am.
LOTS AND LOTS OF BETTER PLACES TO STAY IN THE AREA!!!! This is a college football area there's always a room available some where!!! Especially with all the BnB now. Definitely save your time and money go some where where your belongings are safe!!! Had more pics that's all it will allowHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nelson I.Granger, IN601314Nov 2, 2023Updated review
Internet connection is 3rd world. Advertising that it's available is fraud. Facebook and Front Desk inquiries - we have no control. Have to go to Martin's grocery store next door to get an internet connection.

Very nice! Clean & quiet! Excellent Service. Great breakfast! The price was reasonable. Thank you Hampton Inn, my "go to" hotel.

Front desk Friday night gave us til 1am in the lobby. Saturday night they called the cops out of the blue at 11pm without talking to anyone in our party. The cops are a different story how they acted - which was unprofessional. But the front desk didn't say one word. Talk about an overreaction. I will never stay here again. Have some respect to come talk to us and not use the cops to do your dirty work. On top of that it wasn't our group causing any Trouble and she said we weren't. Then why over react? What a joke. Learn to talk to people.

This is a cool hotel for its class. It's not the most upscale of spots but it feels new and it's conveniently located in the middle of plenty of walkable shopping and great restaurants. Check-in was reasonably quick and front desk attendant was very nice and engaging.
I found the room and it's bathroom to be unbelievably clean. Refrigerator and microwave was a plus. The beds were comfortable as well. I particularly enjoyed the gym. Plenty of room and what seem to be new equipment. Free breakfast and Wi-Fi....Overall I would say this is a great hotel for the price.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Aj J.Detroit, MI053Sep 20, 2022
Nice area close to shops ,food, entertainment. Everything from check-in to check was great except for the dirty towels in my room my experience was great and would recommend if you're ever in south bend area.

I'm back here staying for one night. The front desk is very friendly and helpful. They let us know there are something going on the front and we should park in the back of the hotel. The room is quite big and the bed is pretty comfortable. The TV need to be fix it keep going dark. But all else what can i say it is pretty good and you get free breakfast.

Basically, my wife and I spent very little time at the hotel. We checked in, met family for the rest of the evening, and returned to the hotel to sleep. We also checked out early too, so I'm sure there are lots of amenities that I just didn't take advantage of while staying here (pool, spa, room service.)
I will say that our room was clean and my wife loved the comforting sleep she had on their bed. The room was set at 67 degrees when we arrived and that was too cold for us, but fortunately the climate controls worked well and we were soon at a comfortable temp. The only negative is that the refrigerator didn't keep anything cold, so some leftovers we had needed to be pitched.
There is a complementary breakfast offered as part of the room deal, so we checked it out before leaving. Lots of cold breakfast (cereal/fruit/pastries/juice) and a few hot meal options (waffles, toast, coffee) were available. Even though the room was large, people still tended to gather in tight spaces around the particular items they wanted (not sure what you can do about that.)
As far as the check-in and check-out process, the folks behind the counter were friendly and made the process very quick. I like that reservations make the process easy. The last thing I want to do is wait to come or go, so their service was really appreciated.
I would gladly return here the next time I'm in the South Bend area.

Always consistent at this location. The rooms are always clean and ready and not hard to get an early check in. They are good about late check outs though, even though we stay here quite often.
The breakfast is slowly being reintroduced but not yet to pre COVID capacity.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kimberly W.Chesterton, IN33616Jan 11, 2020
Okay. First- DO NOT book with a 3rd party. Call this hotel directly. We stayed the first night and booked with Expedia. Got a great room, but Expedia just can't make sure you're getting what you want. Second- this hotel is amazing. The second night we booked directly with the hotel and we got everything we *thought* we were getting with Expedia.
The hotel is not huge- maybe 150 or so rooms. It still looks brand new. The room we stayed in was immaculate. The first night, the tv had some issues, but probably it was just getting some age or whatever. It didn't negatively impact viewing, so it didn't warrant docking stars.
The ladies at the service desk that checked us in were so friendly and accommodating. Several times they reminded to just call if we forgot anything.
Our stay was quiet, despite there being a college basketball game at Notre Dame the next day. We anticipated rowdy and loud neighbors, but we didn't hear so much as a loud tv playing.
The breakfast was pretty nice for a free with stay breakfast. The variance of offerings satisfied both my husband and myself. We will definitely stay here again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
