This is long, but you're gonna wanna read it.

Do not stay here. Do not subject your children, your spouse, or your pets to this dump. I called a couple of months in advance for a month's long reservation. I was surprised that they had availability - no one else in the area did. The price was right $540 including tax and electricity. I was so stupid. I ALWAYS check the reviews first, but forgot on this one. I was so excited they had availability that I let my guard down. A friend and her husband wanted to join us on this leg of our trip and maybe stay a week or so. She told me after doing some research that this park had horrible reviews. They use the bath houses, we do not. She said there's no way she'd use the bath house at this place after all that she'd read. I panicked inside then told myself "How bad can it be?" and "We can stand anything for a month, right?" There's nothing else in the area available for our dates. So NO. We can't stand "anything" for a month. We were supposed to be there from Jan 21 to Feb 21. We left on Feb. 12 after our catalytic converter was nearly stolen.

Our truck started acting weird on Feb. 10. We had a "check engine" light that kept coming on. My husband took our one-ton dually in to a truck mechanic who immediately saw where someone had tried to get it. I remembered taking the dog out to potty really late the night of the 9th and our dog saw something in the shadows of the street light. He wanted to chase it, and I said no. I thought it was a rabbit, or frog, or something he would eat. Now we think the dog startled the would-be thieves. I realize catalytic converters can be taken in 30 seconds from the Walmart parking lot, however the RV park, as we learned, has a history of this happening. They "thought we ran them out" but alas, nope. No, they didn't. And knowing this, they STILL didn't give us a refund for the unused days. That equaled about $162.

The front office staff is nice, but they do not return calls in a timely manner. They're completely unversed in the procedures of USPS, UPS, and FedEx, which I would think might be helpful in doing their job.

The neighbors....where do I even start? I'm sure most of the people living there are nice. We only met our next door neighbors, who are kind folk just trying to live day to day. 99.9% of the people living there are full-time stationary, and not on vacation. This is where they live, this is where they work, or where they come back to, after work. There are no campfire rings blazing on a Saturday night, having a beer with your best buddy, children riding their bikes up and down the lanes. We were on the back row (A) which is dung heap central. Our view out our front door was the row upon row of run down campers. Dozens of them. And those are the ones that move. Then, there's the row upon row out in the muddy field of beaten down, no-roof, doors missing, tires flat, homeless abodes. My husband did a little snooping to see what was in those campers. Sleeping bags, clothing, food. There are homeless in the woods at the back of the property, and they come to the campers to sleep at night. I wonder what they do for money? Hmmm. Perhaps a catalytic converter or two would pay for food.

The ONLY redeeming factor of this piece of crap RV park (and we laughed every single time we remembered it was called an RV "resort." They've got to be joking.) is the kiddie playground in the front of the park. It is big, beautiful, immaculate, and any kid would lose their mind over it.

The mini-golf, the beach, the lake, the gigantic paddle-swans, the picnic tables....everything else is run down. The recreation hall should be condemned. We understand from talking to a few of the residents that this place used to be a primo destination. Not anymore. Those beautiful pictures you see posted around the internet are from 15 years ago.

The laundry room was so nasty, there's no way I'd even wash my dog's blankets in there. Everything, and I mean everything (except the playground) needs paint, love, fixing, and some money pumped into it. The owner is charging God knows what from each of at least 150 sites monthly. He's not putting one penny back into it at all from what we could see. The road noise is loud. The roads are crappy. The signs are crappy. The roads are named from A to E with different tree and flower names. They misspelled Azalea on one sign. Really? So stupid and trashy. Even the ducks will crap on your stuff. It was, by far, the nastiest place we have ever been, and we will shout it from the rooftops not to ever go there. It felt dangerous, and we couldn't get out of there fast enough after realizing what I almost walked into. Stay vigilant my friends. And stay away from this place.

This is not a good place. They have bed bugs in their campers. B-6 is infested with them. They really have issues! I saved the money up for a place there and im a server so I was going to pay week by week. My first night there I woke up the next morning and started seeing these bugs. I saved one of the bugs because I've never seen one. Someone told me it was bed bugs. I called and left several messages with someone in the office to call me. No one ever did so I went down there and Stacey acted so surprised. Come to find out they knew about the bugs. They put me in a cabin. I stayed 10 days all together they would not refund me any money and I had spent well over $250 in cleaning my clothes and bug sprays and things to remove them. I had 3 different people tell me I'm like the 3rd person that had to move out for that reason. They rented the cabin to someone else so I had to move out. I have her on video saying half of the campers have bed bugs. People beware. They never 1 time offered to help me in anyway. They were very rude acted like I was the problem. Now I'm homeless. I lived in my last place for 10 years. They have really messed my life up. I could go on and on with all the lies they told me. Nasty nasty place

My parents bought one of the first memberships at this park. When it opened it was really nice and even took my kids many times when they were young. My parents became elderly and unable to use the membership any longer so I was excited when we bought a camper and could go. When we got there the spot they were putting us on had an old beat up van parked on it. I knocked on the camper next door and the smell of weed almost knocked me down. We decided we were not staying there. Found another spot to stay but we felt so unsafe we didn't even put our lawn chairs out for fear of them being stolen. There were cars in and out all hours of the night. These were not campers. Way too many permanent campers with drug activities going on. This is not a resort any longer it is a drug infested trailer park. Please do not waste your time

DO NOT STAY HERE. The pictures are very deceptive. We reserved a spot for one night while traveling. When you pull in, there is a lovely lake and playground and some cute cottages. Driving to our spot we started seeing a lot of older and unkept campers. It was obvious most of these people live here full time. Not judging because people are down on their luck but what went on right next door was totally disturbing. Not sure how many people were living there but a big fight broke out about bedtime. Yelling, slamming doors, threatening to kill each other. I called the campground security, and you guessed it, I got voicemail! Long story short we had to call 911. The sheriffs had to come out twice and finally arrested them all. If I could give this place a minus rating I would. Worst experience ever and I don't understand how they can be associated with Passport America.

DO NOT stay here. I would give zero stars if possible. This is in no way a RV RESORT! Website is outdated and has false and misleading information. When we drove in with our motorhome (we had reservations for 4 nights) ducks were crossing the road, view of lake with office ahead and cute colorful rental cottages greeted us. We were so excited, it looked like a pleasant, peaceful place. We filled up with propane, paid half price for rental rate thanks to Passport of America membership, grabbed some ice and map and headed to campsites. As we passed the nice looking children's play area and your average campground pool, we turned left towards the campsites. About 100 yards forward I saw a pile of junk/metal/wood scraps and thought they are doing renovations. As we got closer we realized it was a camper. We glanced down the first row and all we saw was lots of piles of debris and permanent RV trailers that looked like they had been there 20 years or more. Second row same thing. I'm starting to panic so I drive around our RV to go find our spot. The "spot" was overgrown with grass and sandwiched between two permanent trailers. I kept driving. Next row had a handful of "campers". Husband just pulled into one of them out of frustration. I told him don't setup let me go to office to make sure we can stay in that spot. I catch the girl as she's leaving office, she tells me it's a 50 amp site so I need to pay $2 more per night. A bit agitated I give her the money. Ok back at spot. We are like ok this is different but let's set up and enjoy. We start to walk to go connect utilities and we both started gagging on the sewer stench. The sewer pipe is covered but the smell is overwhelming. We cover our mouths and noses with our shirts and struggled to connect electricity and water. It probably took us 20 minutes to connect electricity and water because we had to keep walking away because of the smell. We would not be able to sit outside because of the smell so we didn't even bother to try to connect in the sewerage as we are equipped to boondock. However, we admit this is not a campground. It is a permanent trailer park. I get these places need to make money but if they are going to advertise as a RV RESORT they need to clean it up, make rules and enforce them! We got in my car and went look for another park to move to next day since it was dark. We found a real RV resort and didn't wait, we moved right away. I usually don't write winded reviews but this place really got under my skin and we felt scammed. Live and learn :)

The campground itself isn't bad. It has a pool, a little beach by the lake, and a nice playground. The only thing that made our experience not so great, was the HORRIBLE staff! I have never seen anyone behave the way this staff did. They were serving hamburgers and hotdogs to the members and visitors. Everyone was suppose to eat at 2:00pm. A line formed at 2, and the workers refused to let the people come in and eat. Workers were eating and bring out plates full of hamburgers for themselves. One worker that was keeping the door locked, was eating a hamburger while customers stood outside in the heat with children. We were told we could bring dishes to go along with the burgers if we wanted, I brought a huge tray of brownies. My son asked where the brownies were, and was told he could not have one. My husband went to ask about it. The workers had eaten half the tray and hid them in the back so the customers could not have any. The campground would be a much better place if they hired better workers.
