I had a reservation and walked in about 10PM to be greeted with "what do you want!" Lady at front desk seemed bothered having to check me in.

Room was comfortable enough once you get used to the funky smell and it cooled down. AC unit was off at check in.

The free breakfast sucked. The was only a choice of two cereals and I hate milk.

Signs all over the place telling you what you can't do! No loitering, no visitors, no taking your free crappy breakfast back to your room, etc.

Several months ago my husband got a reservation at this hotel. He wasn't able to come with me to the Bible conference so I came alone. I pulled up about 7pm and it looked closed; dark, empty parking lot, just odd. I was worried it had gone out of business so I called to check and make sure I was in the right place and it was open. The lady who answered was a little short but I figured I misread the tone and went inside. I gave my reservation number to the person at the desk when I walked in and she was snappy. She gave me my key and I went to my room. While it isn't the nicest room I've ever been in it is clean and quiet. The bathroom had no pressure but the water was hot so that wasn't terrible. I am staying alone so I turned in the television and no channels worked. Weird. I called the desk to ask if I had done something wrong and the same wonderful lady answered the phone with an attitude saying "it must be the cable company the television is fine" uh...okay? I paid for a service and expected it to work or at least a "oh I'm so sorry let me call the cable company" something more than "it's not the tv" So, the room is clean but shabby. The water is hot without pressure. And I have to watch television on my phone because the television doesn't work. For the price I paid I'd expect a little better service. So if you only need to sleep and rinse off this place works; if you want a comfortable stay maybe go elsewhere.

Very clean and quiet. No king size beds. The entire facility is non smoking which was a plus for us. Our room was like a mini suite. It had a kitchenette with sink, stove, microwave, coffee pot. Plenty of counter space and cabinets if you needed an extended stay. The hot water wasn't hot enough to please me so I had to cut my "soak" short! Sofa bed and small dinette. The continental breakfast left a lot to be desired. A few Danish, muffins, toast and bagels. Cold cereal. Juice and coffee. The only fruit was a bowl of "cuties" that had long ago lost their cuteness! I was tempted to toss them into the trash! Exercise room (didn't check it out) and a conference room.

This is the WORST hotel experience I've ever had. The room had a moldy smell, the bed lights were full of dust, and the toilet didn't work. Management REFUSED us the Diamond Member room upgrade and the night staff refused to even HEAR our concerns - only referring us to the day shift.

This Microtel was not a good representation of Microtels. It had a strange smell throughout the entire hotel. The room I stayed in had a stale, musky cigarette odor. If I hadn't been feeling sick I would have moved hotels. The TV had static in it, sheets were yellow stained, not a crisp white like I'm used to seeing in hotels. All of the staff was from another country and didn't speak English well. They were rude and I would not recommend this hotel AT ALL!
I wish I had driven another couple of miles, there were plenty of other reputable hotels to choose from.

Pretty inexpensive, I stayed here for 1 week. Good service. Clean towels and fresh sheets. Room service came daily and did a great job. Walking distance to a Walmart, gas station, subway and a few other places. The room was huge.

Made reservation online for nonsmoking room. When I checked in, the room I was given was obviously a smokers room. There were burn marks on all the counters, carpets and bedsheets. I went to the front desk to ask for a new room that was nonsmoking because that's what I had reserved. The man at the front desk told me he did give me a nonsmoking room and that sometimes people smoke when they are not supposed to. I went to the room and grabbed the ashtrays and took them back to him. After some argument, he told me he'd give me a new room. He followed me into the smelly first room and made sure I didn't take anything or mess up the room. As a side note, the first room had a dead roach on the floor, no coffee maker (listed on the website as being in room) and walls that had been haphazardly repaired and painted. In the new room that he followed me to, there was no microwave or refrigerator (the smoking room had them), a mostly empty toilet paper roll, and no coffee maker. The paint was better but still pretty bad, but hey, at least it was labeled as a nonsmoking room and there were no ashtrays or burns. (It also smelled way better) on the second day, there was a huge roach in the bathtub trying to get out. After I killed it I decided to try and get breakfast in the lobby. Breakfast ends at 9 apparently so no food for me. There was a coffee pot with hot coffee available, but the manager had to retrieve cups for me to use. There was a fitness room marked on the lower level but the door was locked and there was no access with my room key. Even though the price was agreeable, I would not recommend this particular hotel to anybody visiting the Dallas/ mesquite area.

The "nonsmoking" room I was first given that smelled like an ashtray's beer fart
