Quality Inn Scottsboro Us/72-Lake Guntersville Area

Clean, quiet, great staff. Very accommodating while in limbo with my house. The only place I will stay in scottsboro- highly recommend.

Quality Inn Scottsboro has slowly improved over the past couple of years. Every time I stay, I noticed improvements. The staff is kind and try to accommodate their guests needs, even an occasional random one, and they always have a smile. The buildings are older and in need of minor repairs here and there, but the room was clean and everything worked. The breakfast was good and they put out a nice selection of foods. Only complaint I have is the coffee, I don't like coffee from a machine, but fresh brewed, other than that, I highly recommend staying here whenever you're in Scottsboro.

I was very happy with my stay here. Emily at the front desk checked me in. She made sure I would have a room on the ground floor just as I requested. She was super sweet, patient, and answered all my questions. The room itself was clean, spacious, and had a comfortable king size bed, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, and LG flatscreen TV. Parking, Breakfast and Wi-Fi are included with hotel stay. My room was quiet and comfortable and I had a good rest before continuing my road trip.

No hot water in 20° weather and getting it fixed looks pretty iffy... update, hot water fixed! That was my only real complaint!

Very impressed with this Quality Inn location. All the staff members were friendly and helpful. The rooms have recently been remodeled and are in excellent condition. The breakfast, while not huate cuisine, is sufficient to start the morning, and served in a clean dining area. There is a nice looking pool but I visited in the off season and it wasn't open. Most importantly, the property is well-lighted, sufficiently staffed, and I felt safe during my stay there!

Ok let me first say that I don't generally review hotels based on guest behavior; however this is my exception. We stayed for one night and I felt like it was a revolving door of weird behavior from the guests around us. Cars pulling in and out all night, people walking around all night above us, cars revving their engines at 1am-2am. Unfortunately, the back area (although well lit!) really lends itself to shady things. Overall, it felt very unsafe! I sat by the door the whole night because I was scared for my kiddo's safety.

The hotel itself was just ok. They're clearly trying to improve on the outdated rooms, but our room just seemed unfinished. There wasn't a light fixture cover in the bathroom. It smelled musty and old. The beds are doubles, not queens (but I believe they advertised that honestly).

All of that aside, I would rate it a 5 for customer service. The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and accommodating. He went above and beyond to help us get settled. Very kind and helpful. Just a scary set of hotel guests paired with an average room and great customer service.

We came into Scottsboro on a whim. Called Quality Inn and they had a room. When we arrived, we were greeted by Carolyn who couldn't have been nicer. She was helpful and accommodating, and gave caring service and information. Usually, people at a hotel desk are helpful and friendly; Carolyn went beyond this and made you truly feel like a welcome guest. The room was comfortable with a microwave and a fridge. Had breakfast the next morning and met an equally lovely person who was serving the breakfast. Also very warm and helpful. We stayed in approximately 9 hotel/motels on this recent road trip; no one met the level of care and concern that this motel gave. Wholeheartedly recommend it for travelers in the area. Clean, comfortable, and great staff.

This is a nice little spot tucked away on a side road but close to the interstate and 10minutes or less from anything around town. The room was very clean just enough room for 2 people. We went with the king size for $65 a night, good deal. They have a swimming pool, fitness room, full breakfast in the morning and a little lobby area to relax and read the paper with some coffee in the morning or evening. Compared to the other Inns around town this one is 1 of the top IMO.

Hotel room was very nice and accommodating to my boat. Hotel guest were a little sketchy.

I called ahead to get a room on the front and ground floor a this Quality inn. I was assured by the clerk the room would be mine. When we pulled up to to hotel there was police outside and people talking. We went in side and the clerk said when I asked if this was a safe place to stay. The clerk said yes there had not been any problems since he had worked there. So we decided to stay. This was in latter part of May. As we were waiting to check in another couple had a room. They came up ahead us and told the clerk there room was not clean and had to wait for a clean room. We were informed our room was not clean and would not be that day. We were put on a back room the had been cleaned but was smelly. While we wait to check in the ( I assumed ) hotel manager was on the phone talking to someone and cursing loudly about the problem with some people one coming to the hotel and causing trouble. I found this a very poor people skill person. We stayed for one night on a Sunday night Labor Day week end. I have used quality inn a few times before with great results, this by far the worst experience I have ever had. The next morning at breakfast this same cursing manager was chewing on staff in ear shot of the breakfast room. I understand that incidence will happen at a business however your managers need to be prepared to take care of these without disturbing guest. I have been involved in guest relations for almost 40 years and this was poorly handled. To leave things on a good note the clerk was very nervous nice and breakfast was good. This goes to show one bad apple can ruin the experience.
