You definitely get what you pay for.
The room we stayed in was directly across the pool near a staircase. First off all, the room isn't too sound proof. I can hear people all night climbing up and down stairs! Next, there were some kids playing with a shopping cart on the premisis. WTF is a damn shopping cart doing here anyways, this isn't wal-mart! I noticed the room had a strong cleaning agent odor, smelled like a rose garden. Not my preferance. Rooms has wooden floors and poor insulation. I can hear every footstep above. Next, I can see all the greasy fingerprints on ALL of the light switches. I became afraid to touch anything else without using a paper towel! Lol
The most grossly thing, not only about this motel but ALL motels with a wall A/C heater unit are that the maintenence usually don't clean out the air filters. I pulled them out and it looked like a war zone! Look at my pictures, I will complain to corporate about that because it is a health risk to pollute the air that the guest breathe.
Other than that, the sheets seem clean. Fridge and microwave works great. Tv has dish network with 1000 channels. Room is well lit with lights that allows one to read while in bed. Plenty of wall sockets for charging electronics. NO continental breakfast. Parking becomes crowded at night. Also, wi-fi is slower than AOL dial-up and keeps cutting me off!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Maria M.Sacramento, CA2593915Dec 21, 2017
THIS IS WHAT $70 A NIGHT GOT ME?????
HECK NO! I immediately walked out of the room and asked for a FULL refund..they were nice about my refund but if they're charging that..thy should have enough to pay a damn pest service...NEVER RETURNING!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Svetlana S.Cambridge, MA1015477May 23, 2019
I am beyond disappointed. This place is trash too compare to Roy Inn Suites Sacramento Midtown. Walls have holes. It seems there were patch but work is awful and paint didn't match. Each walk have scuffs, dents and holes. I don't know anyone even clean the room. Food left over in fridge dirt and hair on floor, and stains on bed.

Pre-paid 2 weeks in advance via American Express. Called the morning of arrival to confirm late check-in. When we got there that night, clerk told us they had no reservation and there were no rooms. Amex stepped in and got a room for us. While we were there, they turned away a dozen people also with reservations they refused to honor. As we entered our room, there was a young couple shivering outside - wondering what they were going to do for lodgings. Two days later they locked us out of our room, saying we hadn't paid (despite the receipt they gave me the first night). Next day they asked us to leave one day early then tried to charge us again - the full 4 night price instead of only 3 nights.
Worst run hotel I've ever encountered.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jazmine A.Los Angeles, CA11251Nov 25, 2018
DO NOT STAY HERE!! My boyfriend and I, along with his mom and daughter decided last minute to bring our dog along to Sacramento so we had to change hotels to accommodate our puppy. The only pro to this hotel is the fact that all animals can stay here. Now here are the cons:
1. Thin walls (I was up for two hours bc of our energetic neighbors)
2. The drug deals that were happening in the room under us.
3. The rooms are filthy.
4. The mattresses are old.
5. The random people wondering the hotel, we believe were either looking for drugs or selling.
That should be enough, don't stay here pay the extra $30 a night and stay somewhere nicer and safer.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kathy R.Carson City, NV11217Mar 10, 2019
Do not stay here. It is a fire danger. The bathroom vent is hanging by a thread and the sprinkler is covered with plastic. When we arrived we were not greeted with a friendly face, our card key was keyed for the wrong room and our tv was not working. The economical cost was just not worth it.

Had kind of a hilariously bad experience here. The outside areas do smell a bit like urine, but the room didn't...so that wasn't so bad. Lots of interesting people around; there was a big fight at 2:30am that woke a bunch of people up, and then someone upstairs started blasting music at 5:30am. Thank goodness I brought my ear plugs. The towels are a half-size, in between a hand towel and a full-size towel. Definitely a no-frills place, and I would not choose to stay here again. However, the shower was good, and there were no bedbugs...so you could do a lot worse.

Gross. Booked here because Priceline said it was a 3 1/2 star hotel. Stains on bedspreads, ripped lamp shade, dirty (or used and not changed out) bath mat. Pergo floor had planks lifting. Would not recommend. Room smelled so awful, we had to go to Target to buy a candle. The person above us was up about every hour with heels clicking across the floor. We took a hanger and tapped the ceiling at about 3am. She responded by calling our room every few mins and just let the phone ring once. After reading reviews, I think she may have been a call girl. We were up at 4:30 to go on a charted fishing trip, stopped at the registration desk to complain and the man there spoke no English. Horrible motel

Don't go here it's so nasty. Our room was disgusting. Definitely not cleaned. You can see greasy finger prints on everything. It's dusty, smelly, sticky, dirty nasty. This is the grossest place I've ever stayed out and to top it off the local drug dealer was offering the costumers drugs. This place is for hookers and drug addicts only.

My family and I arrived to the hotel at 1:45am after traveling with 3 boys and 1 golden retriever for over 10 hours. We were exhausted. My company had made the reservation for us several days prior. We were excited that my company select a "Suite" for us. The front desk attendant (Casey) was super friendly! We walked into our non-smoking room and the smell of smoke was incredibly strong! We had to carry our sleeping toddler up to the second floor room and was told the only other room available was on the third floor (no elevator). Our 13 yr old golden doesn't do stairs well, so we decided to use my diffuser and try and "deal with" the smell. We all fell into our beds exhausted. Randomly at 5:30am a strange man pounded on our door! I looked out the peep hole and didn't recognize the person. This person then came along side the room to the windows and tried to look in! Needless to say, we didn't feel safe here. We couldn't wait until morning came to leave.
The next morning, what we saw in our room turned our stomaches! There was what appeared to be vomit on the wall behind the toilet. There were cigarette burns in our blankets. The chairs looked like people lost their bowels on them! The floor was sticky. We literally found cigarette ashes on the bathroom counter. There was what appear to be chewing tobacco spit on two of the pillows, on the sheets of one of the beds, on the desk and other places on the walls. I left a couple of messages for the general manager. He did call me back and left me a message, but I called him back a couple of times and he was never in the facility. Both of the front desk attendants we dealt with (Olivia and Casey) were extremely friendly. I tried to call Red Roof Inn Corporate office, but was told I had to deal with the general manager first. This was such a horrible experience and I won't ever stay at a Red Roof Inn again. This trip was a combo business/family trip.
I have 16 photos to share, and will try to upload them.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
