WOWOWOWOWOW I am petrified of my experience here. I was thinking that this Super 8 might be somewhat decent & give it a chance for a great price. It's evident that it has technically been recently updated, but not enough to be worth staying at. The first things I found completely OFF:
1. One of the hotel associates was having a break in the middle of the lobby
2. There are outdated COVID-19 signs & protocols plastered everywhere
3. There were handwritten signs all over about no smoking & not to pile trash when the bins are full.
4. THEY TAKE A COPY OF EACH GUEST'S LICENSE/I.D. - I have never had that requested of me before.
5. There was an obvious presence of unfortunately 'creepy' people. There was fighting, it was loud & clearly, people are living there.
6. Dirty/beyond filthy curtains on the 1st floor that can be seen from the parking lot.
We were in the room for about an hour & did nothing but use the bathroom & sit on the edge of the bed. We were unable to receive our money back due to the time we spent there contemplating if we should find somewhere else & then booking a room at the Residence Inn Bonvoy off of Lake St. We didn't even care that we couldn't get the money back. We simply wanted OUT.
STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - S M R.Manchester, NH0223Jan 20, 2024
Unkept, dirty and gross... and staff didn't seem to care. Unknown white and yellow stuff on the bedding, smelled of old cigarettes and pets, pillows where a bags of chunked up foam not an actual pillow, all sorts of unknown substances on the bench, bathroom was soiled with mildew and hair in the drain.
Places was banged up all over and not just I'm an old building stuff but zero up keep and maintenance stuff. (Left immediately with a refusal to refund "our policy" and immediately locked my "security deposit" credit card because they seemed sketchy!)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 6, 2023Updated review
Again it takes a lot for me to leave a 1 star review but when I was turned away because I wanted to put a credit card on file but pay with cash for the 3 nights that I booked online. I was told that don't accept cash. Unfortunately I had to cancel the reservation and then find another hotel on Christmas Day. The hardship this caused me on a holiday I will never ever go there again. It's so sad that we can't even use our own money in the form of cash in the USA anymore for the most part the lobby looked clean but the staff was not friendly or kind at all. I do not recommend

I used to go to the Super 8 MancHester for many years before covid. it was a nice comfortable hotel and a good value for the money. This year I stayed there and noticed it had really run down and was very nervous staying there. In the parking lot was approached by a man very high on drugs. Once in my room I did not venture out until ready to leave in the morning. Will not return even thou the price is great! Sadly the hotel has gone way downhill and a haven for scary people.

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past few years. The quality and customer service have notably dropped off to nonexistent.
There was large amount of visible mold on the sink. The stopper was broken, sink scratched and there was an odor of mildew. The beds were very hard, to the point of discomfort and the pillows lumpy.
Having gone for so many years, I was surprised at the complete change for the worse in this establishment.
In addition to the discomfort of this hotel, we were charged the room fee the day before arrival.
We were concerned that they had the incorrect reservation date, and had charged us a 'no show' fee. When attempting to call the hotel to determine the reason for this charge; we were unsuccessful in our attempts to contact anyone. We continued to call over a four hour period, a total of 37 separate calls ringing over 25 times each, with no answer.
Therefore, we contacted central reservations and booked another room for that same evening, figuring we could resolve the charge on my credit card from the day prior, once we arrived at the hotel; but would need a room by the airport for that evening, as previously booked.
Upon arrival at the hotel we attempted to resolve this issue, but were given an explanation that their computers went down often, thus they precharged credit cards. We were told that we could not get a refund on the second room (that we did not need), and already been charged for 2 rooms, with no chance of a refund. As it was within the 24 hour cancellation period and not booked at the physical location...even though they didn't answer their phone.
We asked for a wake up call early to catch our flight and went to bed. The wake up call never came.
We were scrambling to catch our flight. I called the front desk while in the hotel room to inquire about the wake up call, with no answer. I stopped at the desk to inquire in person, nobody was there. I called from my cell phone and again, nobody answered the phone. However, as I was loading the suitcases in my vehicle with the phone ringing, I saw the staff member through the front window sitting next to the ringing phone, playing on his cell phone. (Picture attached)
Had the employees answered their phone, I would not have ended up paying for a second room. Had they placed the wake up call, I would not have been scrambling to catch my plane. Had the room not been in the unacceptable condition, we may have gotten rest.
This is the worst experience with a Wyndham hotel, I have ever had.
Customer service and customer retention are not priorities of this hotel.
I will be staying at the Holiday Inn across the street for future trips.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Chrystal R.Concord, NH01Mar 21, 2022
If I could give this zero stars I would. When we called to make the reservation we were told that the shuttle service ran from the motel to the airport. This was the main reason for staying here since it was an early flight. Upon arrival the desk clerk was rude and seemed to have an attitude as soon as we walked in. After we checked in we asked what time the shuttle runs and was then informed they no longer have a shuttle and have not for 2 years. Who is on first here? We had already paid for the room and were not going to be reimbursed and really didn't want to try to find another place at 8:30 at night so we went to our room to see a broken phone and toilet paper holder. I will never stay here again and I won't suggest it to anyone in fact I'll tell them not to go here.

Stayed here due to a flight cancellation..what a mistake in choosing this place! They have shuttle service to airport from 4am to 11am...apparently the clerks failed to tell me at check in that you needed to sign up for a ride. Waited 20 min for shuttle to return from a prior fair, less than 2 miles away...asked clerk to call - I don't have his number (found out that was a lie) - had to call Lyft.
Woke up the next morning at my home with bed bug bites! Contacted the hotel for a refund or reimbursement of some sort - $97.00 was my bill. Explained everything to them - advised they'd call me the next morning..no phone call. I called a day later and they said no refund - room has no bugs, no one else complained - Hello! They come out at night and just because no one else complained doesn't mean anything! The place is a DUMP! Dirty carper in hallways and rooms - rough locals that stay there. My Lyft driver coming TO the hotel rolled her eyes when I told here were I was staying-she said "just be careful"...should have been my 1st clue.
Don't stay here! Hopefully, this review costs them more than the $97.00 they should have refunded me. The day "manager" was very rude too!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Evan T.Port Jefferson Station, NY1165Apr 8, 2015
**BED BUGS**
This hotel was awful. After extensively checking the rest of the bed for bed bugs, I found one on my pillow. I captured it in a cup - see photo - and quickly brought it to the front desk. The gentleman gave me two options: I could move to another room or check out of the hotel. Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep that night.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Evan B.Madison, WI02Feb 3, 2016
So when I walked in my rom there was a rather large spider on the blinds. The carpet is stained, bathroom dirty. The toilet leaks. The tub is grimy.
Literally the slowest wifi ever. Can't even use Facebook. Small TV.
Hard and uncomfortable bed.
Limited breakfast selection too.
Overall, if I had been the one booking and not my work. I wouldn't have picked here.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lauren L.St. Augustine, FL218614Jun 30, 2017
This was a solid stay especially for the price. The front desk guy was kind and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were amazing. It was clean, you can tell it's an older love but it's perfectly fine, the elevator smelled a little but it could have been the person before us. The room didn't smell weird at all which I had been nervous about from other reviews.
Basically don't go in thinking you're staying at a Ritz Carleton... cause your not. I would totally stay here again for a one to two night stay.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
