I am giving this review based on a date 1 motel.
We just found this place for taking a nap and continue the trip. So basically we stay 6 hours, only for sleep.
      Bed was comfortable. Nice space.
      Hostess was friendly.
      Everything else is old.

This place is rough. The room is dirty and I'm concerned about taking a shower, in fact I'm just going to leave in the a.m. as quickly as possible without showering. There was a major power outage in this area and this was the only place we could stay. My husband is literally sleeping in his clothes. The two couples in the room next door have odors of dope coming from their room. Yikes. Sorry Super 8, but this place is rough!

It was 1am in the morning I was driving across the country from Florida to Los Angeles and the only hotel around was Super 8. Okay I know exactly what you're thinking and it's not that. It really does look super creepy from far away, especially in the middle of the night but it's not that at all. We were greeted by a really kind old grandma who checked us in. The room was surprisingly clean, comfy, and the rate was under $100. I would certainly recommend to any of my fellow travelers.

Families be where! I just turned 58 years old, and can honestly say this was the worst hotel rooms we have ever had. When I complained at the front desk, I was told this hotel caters to truck drivers. So what does that actually mean I asked? Our truck drivers are working diligently to get supplies to families and businesses accross the globe. So are you saying the deserve less than a clean room and a good night rest.

The rooms are not cheap, and the breakfast they state is offered on the website is a lie. It consists of coffee and apple juice, I was told it was because of Covid, hum.

As for the rooms, we slept of blankets we brought from home and towelettes to take bird baths. I am attaching photos so you can see how bad it is. Now some of you might be saying you should have known better than to book this room, however we had babies in the cars and could not keep our eyes open.

Regardless of this being a last minute booking, the rooms on the internet showed a way better quality than what we actually got, so another words they are falsely advertising this property. It needs so many upgrades that I don't know where to begin. I rated the hotel a two because the beds were actually comfortable.

I had seen a few reviews that called this a "hidden gem" and for the majority, most gave it good reviews. After staying here for a night, I would certainly not call it hidden gem nor can I give it a rave review.

To be fair, this place is exactly what it is. It is a basic, no frills, low price hotel located just off of I-10 in the panhandle of Florida. It is just east Tallahassee and wallet is clean, or relatively so, there was nothing that made this place standout.

My check in was rather impersonal and honestly was on the borderline of rude. Then I get to my room and my key won't work. I trudged down the steps and go back to the reception desk and was told I must not be doing it right. After rekeying it, if she somehow miraculously worked. My guess was that she forgot to key it.

They also had a rather sizable wasp nest on the top of one of the stairs.

As I said, this hotel fits what it is supposed to be. If you are looking for a No Frills, just grab a few hours of sleep and hit the road type Hotel oh, this is the place for you.

If I could give this a minus stars, I would have! I stayed here recently, as I was trying to do budget but seeing it was Wyndom, I figured it might be at least sleepable for a night.
I have a really bad arthritic ankle, which was quite apparent when I hobbled into the lobby to check in. They put me on the second floor. When I asked if there wasn't a way to put me on the first floor, I was told nope. As ALL the rooms are the same price, it should have been an easy fix. Instead, they insisted MY room was on the second floor. Having just been released from the hospital for heart issues, stair climbing was not high on my bucket list. When I finally ascended the stairs, the assigned room was already occupied. So I lugged my overnight BACK down and went to the front office. They said "Oh, Sorry." and sent me back upstairs. The stairs are at either end of the corridor? They put ME smack in the middle.
When I finally got settled in and turned on my laptop, trying to log onto the "high speed internet" advertised, it turned out to be unsecured, wide open and slower than dial up. After a barrage of popups, despite my virus protection, I shut that down in fear for the life of my computer. Tried the TV. It was Roku, with NO directions for those of us that do not use it, and no Roku Code that was necessary to access ANY of the channels. Since an outdoor, sparkling blue pool was also advertised, I considered a dip. Ummm, probably not, as the bottom of the pool wasn't visible even in the shallow end. More than likely Swamp Thing resided in the deep end!
The absolute worst, though, was finding dried FECES on the sheet! Fortunately, I had slept on the other side but it made me wonder what ELSE I had been exposed to!! I will NEVER, EVER stay at a Super 8 again and will question Wyndom as a chain!

We stopped in here to stay and used the Hotel Tonight app because it had 100% good for its reviews. It is anything but 100%. The room itself smelled so strongly of cleaner and mildew remover it was overpowering. The floor didn't look like it had been mopped since the water damage. The bathroom door looked like something tried to eat it's way out. The refrigerator and microwave were super rusted. We stayed here because they got good reviews. I would not recommend. I would not stay here ever again. The one good thing I can say is the beds were comfortable. But that in and of itself is not enough to give it more than one sta

      The fucking worst!!!
I was coming to this hotel from Spain in a plane. It was a 10 hours trip, so I had no connection at all.
I changed card my credit card a week ago, and I booked the hotel months before this. They found out today that they had the wrong credit card number, so they decided to send me an email at 9 AM telling me that they would cancel my room if I do not reply. All this while I was in the plane with no internet. I landed in the US at 7PM, and I immediately called them to tell them that I was going to be late, but they tell me that I cannot go because they have no room for me and my 5 children. They were really rude to me and they didn't give us any alternative to go to another hotel. So now I am in the street with my kids with nowhere to go.

Worst hotel experience of my life. Monticello, Fl, Super 8. Check in at 300 pm, get to room, ac doesn't seem to be working very well. I figure it'll be cool by the time i get back. NOT! Back to the room at 12 midnite. About 80 degrees, fine, i just need a couple hour nap before driving home (just need to get back to Jax). Pull back the bed spread, have to kill the little spiders. Ok. Still thinking i only need a couple hours sleep and i can head home. Taking NO clothes off, including shoes, i lay on top of all the covers and put towels over the pillows. After about 5 min, i can feel little bites all over me. Ok, gonna prop up in chairs and nap for a few. Getting hotter, TV is messsing up. THE HECK WITH THIS PLACE. I go to the window and throw my key down. Im outta here. Check me out. I start telling the girl why im leaving, she says, yeah i know. WHAT DO YOU MEAN "i know". That room was on our out of order list and you shouldn't have been put in there. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? She offers another room, im too pissed now. Im only 2 hrs away. Im going home. She says she will get with the manager in the morning about my bill. Of course it was paid already. Not holding my breath waiting to get it back. So, Super 8 hotel in Monticello Florida? 0.00 stars! I get in touch with corporate and go through this same thing, Oh so sorry you went thru this, however, here is the franchisee's name and address. You need to contact them, we can not help you. Well guess what, no answer no return calls. So im plastering my experience everywhere I can. Very unfair.
