Super 8 by Wyndham Shakopee

Everybody blasting this place needs to calm down. It's a Super 8. You get a king size bed for $65. You get exactly what you pay for. This isn't a 5 star hotel, it's a solid 3 star hotel with free breakfast, a pool, good customer service, and is close to Mystic Lake, Valleyfair, etc. If you want something better then you have to pay for it.

I "reserved" a room for the weekend but called in and canceled the same day. It says that's there's no cancellation fee yet I was still charged.

Awful service!

I booked a room here and was told they needed "CASH' deposit of 40 dollars. Nowhere anywhere uses cash anymore. I had presented a debit card with more than the amount available on the card including the deposoit. It makes no sense why the deposit couldn't just be taken off the card or I would have to use an ATM to get "CASH"
They also were uncooperative in getting me a refund.

It was definitely decent, it didn't smell, my shower worked, the staff was super nice even left the pool open for an extra hour for us to swim. It was a good night sleep & to top it off there's a taco truck outside! One would say paradise lol. Seriously though it's a super 8 stop assuming it'll be like the 4 seasons people. It's a great price to, definitely the best price in town last night.

The room was dirty they didn't change the blanket from the people was live before the food all over blankets and inside microwave and the smell unbelievable awfully. And when I asked to change blanket they offer me change the room but the other room wasn't different the food was all over blanket !!! I inform them that and I show it to them . They told if I don't accept sleep on this dirty blanket I can leave unbelievable I was shocked they locked the card and refused allow me to use the room I paid for it or even back my money ?!!!!!!
I record every thing in my phone finally the lady gave the key for room and she change the blanket for me . THE MANAGER HE IS THE WORSET AND UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNWELCOME .
I'll never come back to this motel again .
Worst room and worst customer service ever in my whole life .

For your information the place smells it's not clean and it's very expensive. I work out of town so I have stayed there for 3 weeks for work and each week was no better than the other. The people above me were also allowed till about 10 p.m. you definitely don't get what you pay for

Fortunately, my daughter and I looked before we took the room. It had an overwhelming urine smell which we couldn't believe anyone wouldn't notice. Do they have housekeepers?

The lady at the desk said they couldn't do anything and didn't even offer to discount. We left.

Don't stay here! Pool was closed by city and nothing on website telling this. No pillows cases . No towels and room was musty and damp! Don't stay here even if it is your last resort!

I will never stay here again, the room smelled like a dank old bar, the beds and pillows were awful. The "continental breakfast" was disorganized and gross. Worst coffee I ever had, the pool smelled like urine, the bathrooms were disgusting. I will never stay at this hotel again, it is in serious need of renovation. There were kids in the lobby until 3:00 am keeping us up and the lobby is not staffed but a phone is there to call if you need something. Overcharged for a dump. I would just choose a different hotel. When I tried to make an early check in, they wanted to charge me but taking one look at the hotel, I tried to find someplace different with no luck. I was willing to pay for a different hotel, that's how bad it is, and I'm not wealthy or snobby.

Where oh where do I start...... horrible smell, stains on the walls, ceiling, towels, and beds. Side door does not lock so anyone is welcome to come in at anytime. Staff is insanely rude! If you can avoid this place DO IT!!! MOST HORRIBLE HOTEL STAY EVER!!
