Garden Grass-veneer Chrysoteuchia culmella

Forewing length 9-12 mm. This little moth has metallic gold fringes and two angled cross-lines. The larvae feed on the stems of various grasses. The adults fly June and July, and can be found in gardens, meadows, and other grassy places. Can be quite abundant and it is widespread throughout.
