Late March maiden voyage for the year. Pleasantly surprised to find the park sparsely populated. Very quiet. Site connections looked brand new! We rode bikes and walked (plenty to see). Walked to the nearby Golf Course/Winery and had lunch (food was delicious). Highly recommend this park!

Campground open and they will take your money. But everything is shutdown. Water is off. Bathroom and shower is locked, despite notice saying one near cabins in upper campground is open. Power pedestals have no power. Not happy

I only spent one night and didn't really have an opportunity to look over the entire campground or park. I stayed in the upper loop (Site #3). Very nice, gravel, level and large sites up here. Plenty of space at each site (which include water and electric hookups, a picnic table and fire ring) as well as nice spacing between sites. Other reviewers state the sites in the lower loop are much more closer together. The bath house has separate rooms for toilets and showers. The showers are nice with good hot water and pressure, though it would be nice if each stall had a shower curtain in addition to the privacy door. That would have kept things much warmer on a chilly, late September morning. There is a dump station with both rinse and potable water between the camping loop and exit from the park. A reservation is not required at this campground, but the park is a busy one. I took a chance after monitoring the reservation website closely for a couple of days and was able to snag my site as a drive up on a Thursday afternoon around 1PM. It saved me the $10(!!) reservation fee.
Relatively easy to get to the park from I-84 and the interior roads and camp sites easily handle any sized rig.

We have stayed here at least four times and is a pleasure. Watch out for the wind as it can really blow. Sunsets over the Snake river are fantastic.

I understand that for park maintenance reasons they need that hour between check out and check-in times to service the sites. We spent the wait in their visitor center which was loaded with fascinating displays about the Oregon Trail.
Our site (#3) was pretty level. Our auto-leveling system only made minor adjustments. The 50amp breaker was broken, but when I brought it to the attention of park staff, they addressed it IMMEDIATELY. Speaking of staff, they're very friendly and visitor focused.
Their are two loops in the park. The upper loop sites are more spacious and spread apart than those in the lower campground. The lower campground is the perfect campground for families and groups camping together. It has a huge covered area for group gatherings.
When selecting sites, be sure to look at the map. Cabins in the park are very close to some campsites.
The restrooms and (free) showers were immaculate. Each site has power and water but no sewer. There are well placed and well maintained dump stations in the park.
The Y-Knot Winery is next door with a path from the park directy on to their property. The winery has their own RV park and is a Harvest Host. We didn't dine there, but other reviews indicate that the food is good. They also have a golf course which looked quite nice.

The upper campground sits on a plateau overlooking the Snake River. The lower parking lot is closer to the river. “Senior” rate for a site with water and electric is $20 for a NV resident and $21.50 for non-resident mid-week. There are clean restrooms and it was super quiet while I was there although super windy on the tail of a storm. There’s was a train whistle way off in the distance. Nice. Lots of grassy areas and trails for walking the dog and a new interpretive center. There is a winery next door and it has its own RV Park. I’m told the winery has excellent food. I only had to do minor leveling and the other sites looking good as well. Dirt or gravel pads. Pretty darn nice place to stay or overnight.

We stayed here a single night when we were traveling further east in July 2022. We booked a site online in advance but there were many sites available upon our arrival.
Unfortunately our site was right next to a ditch and a walking path that went across it to a group tent area near the dock. None of that was obvious from the map online. Unfortunately, group tent campers were walking right next to our trailer, within the boundaries of our skinny site, to get to and from their group area all evening.
However, we still enjoyed the grounds. We had a partial hookup and it wasn’t too far to walk to the old wagon they have set up there in the day use recreational area.
I’m so glad we had a site with trees (there were many with none) because it was very hot.
