St. Croix National Golf Club
About
St. Croix National Golf Course is a championship course that is tucked away amongst rolling, wooded hills. This scenic course is one of western Wisconsin's hidden gems. The undulating landscape covered with mature trees can seem intimidating but the layout was designed with spacious fairways and bailout areas that act as an excellent balance to the more challenging elements. The well conditioned greens putt fast and true, acting as a perfect complement to the beautiful scenery. There are strategically placed bunkers and water hazards coming into play but it is the topography will truly test your accuracy as well as a variety of other skills. St. Croix National G.C. also boasts a driving range perched high above a valley that collects the practice shots. It is the perfect preparation for the challenges of the golf course.

This course has great views on great holes.
Have played this course for a long time. The "new" owner has made this our favorite place to play! She has improved everything about facilities. From the pro shop, which was ok before, but now has an awesome restaurant with great food and indoor simulators! An out door 18 hole putting coarse if fabulous! It has a event center for weddings and such. Just attended a "celebration of life" ceremony there. And played the course after, because my buddy who the celebration was for, love this course! And we played in his honor. We met and talked with the owner and she was nicest and most down to earth person ever! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!
Peaks and valleys
I picked this course because it came up as “hot deal” and it was a highly rated course so I jumped at the opportunity. When arriving, we were greeted by music from outdoor speakers and the modern new clubhouse. This is quite a facility and does not represent a stuffy 1980s type vibe. It is modern chic. The employees were helpful and seemed happy to be at work.
The driving range is strictly for warming up and has almost no benefit for game improvement… but that’s ok if you are here to play. The greens are undulating and reasonable quick. I’d liken it to greens at Rush Creek in terms of speed. The course had a lot of elevation and when playing it the first time, ball flight and landing zones can be tricky to anticipate. A few holes had too much elevation in my opinion but it was a course where you were engaged and challenged on every hole. It was a mental workout with no simple holes. The condition of the fairways and green complexes were in quite good condition considering early May. The rough was exceptionally thick and deep (probably due to recent rain) but there were a few sparse areas typical of this time of year. I did enjoy the par 3s as there were 2 short and 2 long par 3s. A nice mix. The par 5s were all playing over 540-550 so a bit of a stretch for me to get home in 2… which I prefer. The carts had very comfortable seats and the GPS was an absolute necessity however I did have a handful of situations where the yardage was off 10-20 yards from wedge distances and I learned the hard way that i should have been pulling my laser on every approach.
Overall, you’ll have a fun time and leave with a memorable experience. Have fun!!
Beautiful course
The course and greens were in amazing condition , challenging course which made it even better. Highly recommend this course to anyone
Great course, great improvements
Beautiful course with some great changes. Lots of elevation changes and beautiful scenery. Play it if you can. You’ll like it. It’s tough but the greens are in great shape coming out of winter.
GREAT COURSE

Beautiful course. Every hole is interesting and seeing lots of up down shots left right? Lots of interesting things going on each hole and each shot. Had an easy cars are challenging and fair.
Okay
It's okay. A few too many blind shots for my liking.
Best Course 30min from the Twin Cities
Played a lot of courses in Minnesota and Wisconsin. This is one of the best out there.
St Croix National
The course layout was spectacular, many holes are just breathtaking from the tee boxes. Felt like I was in the North Woods. With the dramatic elevation changes, almost felt like an AZ mountain course. Greens were in superb condition. Only complaint was a couple tee boxes were uneven but it being late in the year could have been the reason. If I was on vacation and this was the resort course, it would garner just rave reviews. I cannot wait to play course again as familiarity will make it easier. Just an awesome track!!!
Scenic course
First time playing St. Croix National. Staff was very friendly upon arrival. I was able to start before my T time The course was in very good shape when I played. It is a tree lined scenic course with elevated tee boxes providing some great views. Along with the elevated tee boxes there are elevated greens which require some thought on club selection. Greens were in good shape. I would definitely play there again.
