ST265 - Cuprite on Malachite with Chrysocolla $ 450 (=~ £ 360) Kolwezi Mining District, Lualaba, DR Congo cabinet - 11 x 7.5 x 5 cm Large fan-shaped cluster of velvety green Malachite atop a matrix of fibrous Malachite intergrown with blue Chrysocolla. There are 5 crystals of octahedral Cuprite attached to the fan-shaped formation of Malachite. Unusual and colorful.

ST362 - Quartz (lab grown) $ AT-AUCTION USA large cabinet - 17.5 x 12 x 0.8 cm Long, slender crystal of laboratory grown Quartz. This came from an old collection that had lots of 1980s era specimens, though the exact date of when it was grown is unknown but likely dates back to the 1950s when these were grown for the telecommunications industry. It's water clear and pristine with dimpled/wavy surfaces over the prism faces and flat, glassy termination faces. These were grown between two metal pins and each tip has a small indentation caused by the pins. Rare historic specimen. Valued at $150.

There is no matrix, nothing but interlocking Svanbergite with the attached Topaz and Rutile. Svanbergite is an uncommon Strontium Aluminum Phosphate Sulfate Hydroxide mineral. An amazingly rich example, I can't find any matrix, it's nothing but solid Svanbergite crystals with Topaz and Rutile. Valued at $150.
