Item Description
Snow-white radial sprays of acicular artinite crystals to 1.0 cm are aesthetically clustered on the smaller snow-white hydromagnesite crystal crusts on the sculptural small cabinet serpentine matrix on this showy, excellent and very rich specimen from the classic Staten Island locale. Artinite is an uncommon hydrated magnesium carbonate with a hydroxyl. This piece may have been collected in the 1960s or much earlier. Very few seen for sale recently. This is a RARE URBAN SPECIMEN and these are old USA classics!
