About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Scale and Language Services (SLS) now carry out many tasks that were previously either not done at all or done only by engineers. Their work ranges from curation of data sets in different languages, development of grammars, evaluating and debugging triggering, quality work, and driving solutions while leveraging different technologies to provide solution or improve processes.

In this role, you will continue to build the team portfolio, and work closely with the stakeholders in multiple sites. You will apply technical judgement, develop basic scripts, prompts and dashboards to improve process efficiency and accelerate the team execution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage various programs of work, engage teams, engineers and vendors, set the pace for development and delivery of core search products.
  • Work and build relationships with the core Engineering team, Software Engineer, Product and Program Management, other infrastructure, Horizontal and product vertical teams.
  • Identify breakage, debugging issues, etc.
  • Develop and facilitate internal scripts/dashboards, tools and coordination of tools/technical-process implementations in the team.
  • Develop and prepare project documentation, and build/modify processes, by modeling successful programs and best practices to increase impact and scalability.
