Marketing Analyst

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related research or quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in designing, scoping, executing, and delivering research and analysis projects.
  • 5 years of experience with translating business problems into research questions and translating research findings and insights into marketing recommendations.
  • Experience with managing research and measurement agencies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience with qualitative research methods and approaches.
  • 5 years of experience with sampling, survey writing, and analysis of survey data including weighting and assessing data quality.
  • 5 years of experience with designing experiments, analyzing data from experiments, and summarizing findings.
  • 5 years of experience with analyzing and working with datasets to leverage data insights into presentations for business stakeholders.
  • 3 years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL) and tools to work with datasets.

Google's leadership team hand-picks thorny business challenges, and members of BizOps work in small teams to find solutions. As part of this team you fully immerse yourself in data collection, draw insight from analysis, and then zoom out to develop compelling, synthesized recommendations. Taking strategy one step further, you also persuasively communicate your recommendations to senior-level executives, roll-up your sleeves to help drive implementation and check back-in to see the impact of your recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Use primary and secondary market research and first- and third-party data to gather information, conduct analysis, and synthesize information to solve problems, and collaborate in business decision-making with insights and market trends.
  • Develop strategies that solve business tests and address the needs of stakeholders across various functions to drive growth.
  • Conduct analysis, optimize business performance, and deliver execution.
