About the job

The YouTube Ads data science team Powers Ads’ strategic product decisions with data-driven and objective perspective, insights, and recommendations.

In this role, you will partner with the Ads Planning Metrics team to support Ads Planning’s journey toward becoming an insight driven organization, fueling business and product decision-making with data and metrics at scale. The data science team supports this mission by designing scalable solutions for Ads Planning randomized controlled trials.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the data science design of the next generation platform for Ads Planning experimentation, utilizing randomized controlled trials and statistics to evaluate and guide future Ads Planning initiatives.
  • Design and analyze experiments, including randomized controlled trials, to measure and guide the impact of critical Ads Planning initiatives.
  • Define key performance indicators and their associated value for both advertisers and Google across various Ads Planning initiatives.
  • Formulate metrics that capture the impact of Ads Planning tools on advertiser spend, and reach. Develop methodologies for conducting impact studies for agency and third-party tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the feasibility of measurement strategies.
