Software Engineer III, Bluetooth, ChromeOS

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., C++, Java, and Python).
  • Experience with systems programming or operating system internals (e.g., Linux, Android, ChromeOS).
  • Experience with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or in related technical fields.
  • 3 years of experience in embedded systems or mobile platform development.
  • Experience developing and debugging Bluetooth software stacks and core profiles.
  • Experience with Android device development, applications, and services, plus strong debugging skills.
  • Experience with wireless communication, network stack, Linux kernel, device drivers, and hardware abstraction layers.
  • Understanding of Bluetooth specifications (Classic and Low Energy).

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software solutions for the Bluetooth stack.
  • Write and review high-quality code in C++ and Java.
  • Debug and resolve complex technical issues related to bluetooth functionality, interoperability, performance, and power consumption.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate new Bluetooth technologies.
  • Improve Bluetooth features, performance, efficiency, reliability, and maintain testing frameworks.
