Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product strategy, go-to-market, or commercialization.
  • Experience in B2B platforms and ecosystems.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in marketing, sales, partnerships, or products for developer products background in geospatial technologies, API driven products.
  • Experience launching new programs or pilots in a fluid environment with an entrepreneurial approach, applying commercial strategies and business judgment to navigate testing dynamics.
  • Experience working with product and engineering teams.
  • Ability to build collaborative partnerships with Product, Sales, Go-to-Market, Marketing and other cross-functional teams to drive measurably successful product launches and campaigns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Within Google, Google Maps Platform is owned by the Geo Makers team which has a centralized Geo Makers GTM team to facilitate product strategy and operations and marketing. The Core Products GTM team exists to unlock the growth trajectory for Geo Makers primary products across Maps, Route, Places, and Environmental Capabilities.


The US base salary range for this full-time position is $144,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Identify problems and issues across the organization and define/lead programs and processes to solve them.
  • Influence team members and executive management to act and drive projects to completion.
  • Establish and lead operating processes and tools for managing the organization and achieving goals.
  • Partner with Product teams to drive prioritization, fundamental strategic investigation, and program changes to support long-term business goals. Manage product launches at scale through effective leadership, organization, and management with cross-functional teams. Support product launches from Experimental through Google Analytics (GA), including defining and assessing success metrics.
  • Deliver and maintain evergreen go-to-market strategy including monitoring and integrating market insights, define and refine total addressable market and headroom, updating strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT), and serve as the lead strategist and subject matter expert on the market opportunity for the business.
