Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 7 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- 5 years of experience with design and architecture and testing or launching software products.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 3 years of experience working in a matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools and concepts.
- Ability to quickly assimilate knowledge in machine learning and AI, with a focus on understanding the underlying hardware and software stacks.

Responsibilities
- Define a multi-year technical strategy for AI infrastructure that bridges the gap between high-level business goals and engineering needs, and build the foundational control plane building blocks required to support AI/ML workloads at scale.
- Lead the integration of infrastructure with industry-standard orchestrators like Kubernetes, Slurm, and Ray to ensure seamless workload management.
- Oversee the development of critical system logic, including resource scheduling, configuration distribution, and state management for massive clusters.
- Translate vague requirements into concrete, scalable technical solutions while contributing back to the global open-source community.
- Scale the engineering organization by mentoring talent into leadership roles, mitigating operational risks, and driving cross-functional alignment with key partners to deliver unified software stacks.
