Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience managing process improvement or construction programs.
  • 5 years of experience working with data center or other mission critical equipment or environments.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with project management and execution, program experience supporting back office operations and working with stakeholders and teams.
  • Knowledge of mission critical facility electrical and mechanical infrastructure systems.
  • Excellent requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling, and goal attainment skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Technical Program Manager you will be involved in multiple programs focused on improving the data center planning and execution. You will act as an interface between partner reporting teams, the ML Program Management Office, and other internal stakeholders to ensure improvement initiatives are supported. Additionally, you will organize and manage program initiatives through completion including delivering and communicating to the business operational improvements, Machine Learning progress, and project delivery learnings/policy updates. These program initiatives will focus on the processes, procedures and tools within the programmatic data center delivery plan and execution process of our capital improvement projects.

This role will be located in a recognized Data Center Delivery and Engineering (DCDE) office or data center.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define program charters, prioritize objectives, and align schedules with resource dependencies.
  • Secure formal approvals for initiatives and identify the internal resources to contribute to project goals.
  • Monitor project progress and mitigate risks while maintaining momentum through recurring leadership meetings and tracking.
  • Ensure all the criteria's are met before completion, providing an implementation strategy and impact data for site teams.
  • Develop roll out strategies—including training and general awareness—and deliver detailed progress reports and key learnings to executive leadership.
