Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in technical sales, consulting, or solutions architecture.
  • Experience developing technical assets and content supporting go-to-market motions.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience contributing to program management or operational support for cyber defense transformation.
  • Experience in modernizing Security Operations Centers (SOC) through the development of threat-driven strategies, Target Operating Models (TOM), advanced detection engineering methodologies, and the optimization of Continuous Detection/Continuous Response (CD/CR) frameworks.
  • Technical expertise in Google Security Operations and competitive technologies (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Wiz) for detection and response.
  • Expertise in secure multi-cloud environments (Google Cloud) and Hybrid Cloud Architectures for detection and response.

About the job

The Global Solutions team is responsible for constructing all of the sales plays as part of the overall Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy within Google Cloud. The Security Practice - Build team is a core part of this organization, responsible for driving the technical GTM asset creation specifically for security.

As the Security Solution Architect you will be a technical architect within the Security Practice - Build team. You will be responsible for the creation, development, and delivery of highly technical assets and solution architectures that enable the global sales and field engineering teams to drive the GTM financial plan.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of reusable technical assets and solution architectures that are part of security sales plays focused on next-generation security operations.
  • Drive the creation of technical solutions and messaging around Autonomous and Agentic Security Operations Centers (SOC).
  • Ensure that all technical practices and messages for the security practice align to our GTM Sales and product strategy. 
  • Act as a deep technical subject matter expert for the field to ensure that best practices and product innovation are effectively executed by technical practitioners.
  • Develop high-impact content, including reference architectures, demos, deployment guides, and field enablement materials that support large-scale GTM motions.
