Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in program or project management.
- 2 years of experience with manufacturing, supply chain management, or fulfillment planning and execution in a New Product Introduction (NPI) role.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or Master's degree in a technical field or 5 years of experience with supply chain or large-scale operations.
- 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Ability to communicate with technical management teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service focus.
- Passion for functioning in an ambiguous and evolving engineering operations environment.

GIG's (Global Infrastructure Group) mission is to drive optimal fulfillment and transform Google’s data center fleet by balancing and shaping demand intent, deployment decisions, and supply capability. Using our end to end perspective, we strive to make the difficult possible.
The Fleet Actions delivery team within GIG focuses on the enablement and orchestration of capacity fulfillment, from order creation and constraints enforcement through to Delivery. The team focuses on timely execution, exception management, efficient capacity utilization, transformation programs, and delivery policies and expectations into Google Data Centers.
Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require program managers to keep the big picture in focus. As a Program Manager at Google, you lead multi-disciplinary projects. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Develop deployment plans and fulfillment strategies for machine delivery in partnership with product areas and the supply chain team.
- Communicate program health, status, and actions to stakeholders including product areas, leadership, and partner organizations.
- Work with cross-functional partners and software engineering teams to design automation needs for scale and efficiency. Collaborate across organizational levels and boundaries.
- Drive efforts to improve efficiency, cycle times, reliability, predictability and on-time delivery.
- Oversee and ensure successful execution and on-time delivery of these plans and strategies. Troubleshoot issues, identify risk areas and develop mitigation strategies.
