Program Manager III, Operations, Google Ads (Fixed-Term Contract)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience collaborating across organizations to drive programs and execute on initiatives in one of the following areas: contract negotiations, commercial agreements, content management, accounting, partner or vendor management, or forecasting.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with supply-side user verification processes, including process management of on-boarding requirements.
  • Experience driving scaled and global execution through extended teams that include vendors.
  • Experience or familiarity with SMBs in local services.
  • Ability to work at the interface of Product and Operations, and to execute on both tactical and strategic horizons.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

In this role, you will be embedded within the Product organization. You will operate at startup speed with a mindset of sustainable growth and global scale.

We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$196,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end advertiser verification capability for a hyper-growth ads product that connects users to local services providers.
  • Be the responsible and accountable leader for the management of global verification operations.
  • Manage scaled execution via partnership with vendors and third party background check providers across a global footprint comprising 11 countries and 7 languages.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to define, sequence, and prioritize product requirements for features and functionality to improve user experience and increase operational efficiency.
  • Define verification requirements and operational processes to unlock product expansion into new verticals.
