Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience solving problems and working with AI dev tools.
- Experience with model context protocol, generative AI agent, generative modeling.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 10 years of experience in coding, software development, technical consulting, or a related engineering role.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Ability to architect and deliver solutions in a cloud environment.
- Ability to present technical topics to both engineering teams and non-technical business stakeholders and excellent strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent track records of engaging with customers or partners to understand and solve their technical issues.

We are establishing a high-leverage team of Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) to serve as the 'Human API' for our accounts. In this role, you will own customer technical success and the realization of business outcomes. By bridging the 'last mile,' you will ensure our AI developer tools deliver sustained value while directly influencing the product roadmap through real-world insights. Your mission is to foster a growing Google developer ecosystem, curate seamless 'Day Zero' experiences, and architect secure, standardized paths for agents and applications on Google Cloud.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Own the customer's technical journey from initial engagement through sustained success. Rapidly architect, prototype, and implement bespoke solutions to technical gaps, ensuring the realization of specific business outcomes.
- Act as the primary technical conduit between customer usage and the core engineering roadmap. Systematically codify field learnings and bespoke solutions into reusable product patterns, translating them into high-fidelity, scalable product requirements and feature requests for internal teams.
- Secure and convert high-value accounts into successful long-term adopters and users.
- Transform customers into passionate advocates by ensuring technical and business outcomes are met. Cultivate strong relationships, driving Advocacy Score improvements and enabling references for marketing and future customer engagements.
- Ensure technical success in customer environments, focusing on the secure and scalable building, deployment, and operation of AI agents and applications.
