About the job

The Finance Experience (FinX) team is the AI-native support engine for Google Finance. We are the only operation that supports every Googler, supplier, and customer. Our mission is to eliminate friction by infusing our operations with the best of Google’s AI. We are a team of builders and experts dedicated to transforming support into a seamless, delightful, and low-effort experience. We don't just solve problems; we build the intelligent tools that solve them instantly.

This role requires a ‘builder’ mindset to leverage AI and automation to transform finance support operations for Google. You will act as the bridge between business operations and technology adoption. You will manage large-scale, industry-defining projects that showcase the power of Google AI tools to drive significant automation in the Finance domain (hire to retire, order to cash, and source to pay).

In this role, you will lead the end-to-end project lifecycle—from identifying process inefficiencies and building initial prototypes to driving the operational scaling of these solutions. You will combine process re-engineering expertise with project management accuracy to implement workflows that materially improve automation and customer outcomes.

The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze finance workflows to identify friction and design AI-first processes and "Do It For Me" (DIFM) capabilities. Move from vision to proof, establishing new standardized operational procedures.
  • Transform abstract problems into functional prototypes or POCs. Validate the "what" and "why" to secure stakeholder buy-in before transitioning projects to full-scale engineering and implementation.
  • Influence and drive the FinX Automation roadmap by prioritizing features that reduce customer effort, increase productivity, and integrate customer-focused AI capabilities.
  • Utilize predictive analytics and complex datasets to identify automation opportunities and track the measurable success of process transformations ensuring we are solving the right problems with the right tools.
  • Partner with FinX, Engineering, and business partners to identify upstream product fixes that prevent support tickets. Act as the primary translator between finance subject matter experts and technical implementation partners.
