About the job

The Shopping team within Trust and Safety is recruiting enthusiastic, web-savvy individuals to work with technologies in order to keep users safe on Google Shopping. As part of this team, you will develop and manage cross-functional relationships with Engineering, Product and Operations teams in a multifaceted effort to improve the processes for identifying and resolving policy and safety issues. You will be responsible for the execution of projects with various groups of stakeholders. You will be proactive, motivated, organized, responsible, innovative, and grow in a fluid environment. You will understand the user's point of view and will be passionate about using your combined technical and business acumen to protect the users. You will also be responsible to analyze market trends, set forward-looking strategy, and implement scaled solutions to solve user safety issues, to ensure a high-quality user experience across Shopping products.At Google we work hard to earn our users’ trust every day. We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$194,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Ideate and manage high impact strategies which increase user safety or improve user experience on Google Shopping and Shopping GenAI products, in partnership with executive stakeholders from Engineering, Product Management, Legal, Policy, Sales and other Trust and Safety teams.
  • Perform investigative fraud and abuse analysis, producing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for new signals, automation, workflow improvements and operational efficiency gains. Subsequently drive solutions to completion.
  • Strengthen global partnerships with executive stakeholders across teams and act as a reliable domain expert for them.
  • Take part in the regular on-call coverage rotation to resolve sensitive issues and escalations.
