Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, or corporate advisory, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience creating sales resources or communications for audiences.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in sales operations, business strategy, or management consulting.
  • Experience in sales, sales enablement, sales operations, or a related field within Google or a media agency.
  • Experience writing executive summaries and communications for executive leadership audiences.
  • Experience collaborating with and leading cross-functional teams to deliver on a shared goal.
  • Understanding of performance advertising landscape, including solutions offered by both Google and competitors.
  • Ability to generate insights from quantitative and qualitative data.

Go-to-Market Operations (GTM) is a global team that serves as the strategy, operations, and product commercialization partner to Global Business Organization (GBO). The team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business delivers strategic growth and operates effectively.

This team is responsible for setting go-to-market strategy, shaping priorities and resources to accelerate business growth, and commercializing the next generation of Ads products (from representing the customer to advocating for product requirements to ensuring teams are equipped to drive customer growth, product adoption, and revenue health at scale). This team plays an important role in building excellent go-to-market infrastructure from tooling to enhancing GBOers business skills to ensuring flawless execution and operations against desired business outcomes and priorities. GTM has teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as in global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

As part of the Global Market Intelligence team, you will lead intelligence curation for Google’s top ads competitors. Your role will be critical to enable thousands of GBO sellers to pitch more competitively.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$170,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to understand seller challenges when pitching Google’s performance ad solutions (Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, Shopping) against competitors.
  • Source competitive intelligence across Google and from third parties.
  • Synthesize research and competitive intelligence into strategic points of view to share with GTM and Ads leaders.
  • Plan and execute on global resources, guiding cross-functional teams to complete relevant materials with limited guidance.
  • Collaborate with regional GTM, GPS, and Mastery to contribute meaningful competitive content for global sales resources and trainings.
