Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
- Experience in networking, project management, mentoring, leadership, test infrastructure, and scalability.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.

In this role, you will be a part of the Fabric Routing team that manages routing and network programming for all of Google's deployments using Google's proprietary software-defined networking infrastructure. You will build networks that are among the world's largest and fastest, optimized for reliability, cost-effectiveness, and ease of revolution, often leveraging technologies unique to Google. As a part of the Fabric Routing team, your current major focus involves addressing the demanding, unprecedented scale and performance requirements of AI/ML data center use cases.The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what’s possible. Responsibilities
- Establish and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization's goals while aligning strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
- Define clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the broader organization's goals, meet regularly with them to discuss performance and development and provide feedback and coaching.
- Develop the mid-term technical goal and roadmap within the scope of multiple teams and evolve it to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs.
- Lead the Fabric Routing team's continued growth to meet enormous new issues in capacity, scale, and feature set presented by AL/ML use cases in the software-defined network control plane.
- Form a new team within Fabric Routing focused on enabling velocity for the organization by areas making substantial improvements to key enabling components, such as tooling, testing, and infrastructure.
