Program Manager, Enterprise Risk Management

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting.
  • Experience in technology industry risk management or compliance.
  • Experience with enterprise-wide/cross-functional project planning and execution.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certification in Risk Management.
  • Experience adding structure in an ambiguous environment and the capacity to analyze fragmented inputs, synthesize key attributes and recommend effective balanced recommendations and outcomes.
  • Experience with data analytics to add value to business planning, strategies and risk management.
  • Experience in cross-functional and executive-level influence, and in adding structure to ambiguous environments using excellent analytic capacity.
  • Excellent project management, people-management, verbal, and written communication skills.

About the job

The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM’s) team's mission is to improve risk accountability and transparency across Google through a common governance framework and aligned risk management practices.

In this role, you will play a key role in providing management and our board of directors assurance that we have an enterprise risk framework that is relevant, adequately frames, informs, monitors, and actions our risks in a changing business. This role supports all aspects of the enterprise-wide risk management program, and will interact with leaders across the organization. You will be responsible to include identification of enterprise-wide risks, development and implementation of methodologies for the assessment of risk through the organization, and reporting and monitoring risk mitigation progress. You will also be placed on building sustainable risk management practices and capabilities throughout the organization through targeted stakeholder engagement and training opportunities.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $158,000-$235,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to ERM’s direction, including developing and optimizing policies, processes and practices; provide advisory support for alignment on risk management capabilities and various initiatives and ad hoc requests.
  • Implement and maintain a risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) process for enterprise risk management in accordance with regulatory expectations and industry standards.
  • Lead engagements with cross-functional stakeholders ensuring a coordinated approach to risk management, including risk assessment, management, monitoring, and reporting; collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders regarding reporting risk mitigation efforts.
  • Analyze risk information, draw conclusions, generate alternatives and solutions, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Drive execution for cross-team initiatives and projects to drive alignment and increase velocity; manage and prioritize projects simultaneously; proactively identifying issues and key milestones, and follow-up to determine resolutions and escalations needed.
