As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is growing its global footprint and product offerings, while changing the way the world uses computing. As the Program Manager, you will work with stakeholders ranging from Sales, Customer Engineering, Professional Services Organization, Product, Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). You will work with Sales and GCP customers on capacity requests and help to improve capacity planning processes and tools by driving technical projects.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Help support account teams on technical capacity requests from GCP’s existing and new customers.
  • Build relationships with GCP Product and Engineering teams to better understand the technical stack in order to triage capacity requests and unblock GCP customers in a timely manner.
  • Influence product design to ensure capacity requirements are taken into account through the product lifecycle.
  • Lead regular capacity review meetings with stakeholders to communicate performance metrics, discuss future requirements, and align business objectives with technical capabilities. 
  • Drive initiatives to design and implement capacity planning processes that drive improvements in performance, cost-effectiveness, and customer experience for Cloud customers.
