Chrome is one of the largest publicly built and tested products in the world. You'll get to do most of your work on public repositories using open-source tooling and interact with developers ranging from hobbyists to professionals in a wide variety of companies. Storage is a key component of Chrome that must be reliable and highly performant. There are many different storage APIs in Chrome, our team maintains these existing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and seeks to improve or augment them as needs arising in the web platform. Our team also takes on high priority, high impact performance work unrelated to storage when opportunities and needs arise.
Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Create and improve web platform JavaScript APIs, including design, implementation, testing and public specification.
- Work on Chrome's storage infrastructure and related projects.
- Create and improve low-level browser infrastructure.
