Regional Program Manager, Project Controls and Cost

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Industrial, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in the construction of facilities, or construction management.
  • 5 years of experience with cost management, cost estimation, risk and change management, and reporting.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience managing multinational, and dynamic technical programs/projects with engaging resources and priorities.
  • Experience in distilling critical information into management reporting and presenting such information to executive management.
  • Experience with a variety of contract delivery and compensation models, contract risks, and risk management practices.
  • Knowledge of regional construction markets, methods, practices (including cultural) and standards.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive major program initiatives and serve as the go-to person for all program-level stakeholders. Communicate directives and facilitate alignment across all teams.
  • Provide financial oversight by managing cashflow, forecasts, and cost reduction, ensuring alignment with finance and project teams.
  • Partner with stakeholders to strategize, prioritize, and plan objectives, ensuring schedules and dependencies align, to effectively reduces the burden on project teams, allowing them to focus on core delivery using methodologies like Agile or Waterfall.
  • Manage regional alignment, including scheduling, costs, and capital funding for expanding Gigawatt (GW) areas,  supporting multi-campus projects by leveraging common General Contractors (GCs) and mitigating procurement risks.
  • Communicate program status and goals, tailoring messages to stakeholder interests to drive understanding and inform key decisions.
