Principal Architect, Physical AI and Robotics

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in cloud computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML).
  • 10 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer).
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Understanding of AI/ML techniques relevant to Physical AI (robotics, mobility), such as computer vision, sensor fusion, reinforcement learning, motion planning, and control.
  • Understanding of Robotics concepts and frameworks (e.g., ROS, Gazebo, simulation tools e.g. Mujoco, IsaacSim).
  • Ability to thrive to build from the ground up, comfortable with ambiguity, and possesses a proactive, entrepreneurial spirit to drive new initiatives forward.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

About the job

In this role, you will be at the forefront of engaging with pioneering organizations along with sales teams, and helping them unlock the transformative potential of AI-powered robots using Google Cloud.

You will be responsible for understanding the unique technical and operational challenges the customers face and then architecting and showcasing Google Cloud solutions that directly address their needs. This will involve deep dives into their AI/ML model deployment pipelines, robot control systems, sensor data management, simulation environments, and cloud integration strategies.

Your expertise in cloud computing, AI, and the robotics domain will be instrumental in positioning Google Cloud as the leading platform for the next generation of intelligent robotic solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Google Cloud Sales as the primary technical expert for Physical AI and Robotics, understanding customer objectives to articulate how Google Cloud Platform (GCP) enables intelligent and efficient robotic deployments.
  • Develop Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies by mapping the market, identify key trends, and define target customers. Lead activities like events, webinars, and tech blogs to build industry mindshare.
  • Identify and qualify business opportunities in the AI for Robotics space. Uncover customer adoption challenges and develop strategies to resolve technical and product blockers to accelerate customer success.
  • Create compelling technical assets, solution narratives, and reference architectures focused on applying AI/ML to various robotics use cases across industries to support GTM efforts.
  • Build a regional network by identifying and mapping key robotics and AI experts within APAC, organizations, and other Google teams to foster an ecosystem.
