Program Manager II, Supply Chain

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a technical field.
  • 3 years of experience in Supply Chain or Operations.
  • Experience with broad operational scope and executing with high independence.
  • Ability to function in an ambiguous and evolving engineering operations environment.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills with the ability to communicate with technical management teams, with attention to detail and execution.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Program Manager at Google, you will lead multi-disciplinary projects. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project life-cycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the players co-ordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop deployment plans and fulfillment strategies for machine delivery in partnership with product areas and the Supply Chain team.
  • Communicate program health, status, and actions to stakeholders including product areas, leadership, and partner organizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and Software Engineering teams to design automation needs for scale and efficiency across organizational levels and boundaries.
  • Drive efforts to improve efficiency, cycle times, reliability, predictability and on-time delivery.
  • Oversee successful execution and on-time delivery of these plans and strategies while troubleshooting issues, identify risk areas and develop mitigation strategies.
