Strategy and Operations Lead, gTech

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in a project/program management, consulting, or client facing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
  • Experience diagnosing inefficiencies/resolve ambiguous situations and translating challenges into clear, data-backed strategic proposals and implementation roadmaps.
  • Ability to autonomously lead complex business integrations and change initiatives (e.g., establishing new operating models, defining global governance, and executing risk mitigation frameworks).
  • Ability to synthesize operational dynamics into executive narratives (presentations, memos) that drive consensus and secure decisions from leadership.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders, taking ownership of priorities and collaborating for rapid ideation and strategic refinement to accelerate outcomes.
  • Experience managing programs with substantial financial impact within a multinational technology environment.

In this role, you will serve as a key strategic partner to leadership, leveraging data and business judgment to drive and execute high-priority projects that drive operational excellence. You will engage with cross-functional teams, translate analyses into influential recommendations for executive leadership, and empower operations through data-driven decision making.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $137,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Drive complex, high-visibility programs from strategy to delivery, defining objectives and roadmaps.
  • Synthesize complex data, operational dynamics, and systemic gaps into clear, executive-ready narratives (e.g., QBR content, VPs updates), proactively driving data-backed decisions among executive stakeholders.
  • Build collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, using collaborative ideation and structured thinking. Influence outcomes by driving consensus, navigating dependencies and supporting change initiatives.
  • Employ analysis and foresight to identify opportunities, diagnose challenges, and formulate strategies for operational excellence and resource optimization. Be a thought partner, balancing detailed analysis with a holistic view to align operations with Google Operation Center (GOC) goals.
  • Drive improvement through significant contributions to planning, leading critical Objectives and Key Results (OKR) lifecycle aspects, and supporting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for alignment and operational effectiveness.
