Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or communications.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with executive leaders and developing their external presence across traditional and new media channels.
- Experience working on events and projects that require cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience communicating directly to audiences on social and owned platforms.
- Experience turning technical information into compelling stories across many audiences.
- Experience with AI technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
About the job
As a part of the Gemini App communication team, you will shape the global narrative for the world's most advanced AI assistant. You will translate technological innovations into stories that focus on user benefit and demystify artificial intelligence with clear language that prioritizes helpfulness over hype. The strategies you use to reach the audience must evolve as quickly as the space in which we operate. You will also serve as a hub for the many Google surfaces that use some form of Gemini in their applications, making sure to connect the dots across the company.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a product communications lead for the Gemini app while developing and maintaining close, productive relationships with teams across Google, including Gemini product teams, marketing, public policy, and partnerships.
- Partner with marketing to refine and drive an always-on social media strategy, focused on driving awareness and excitement with communities who are actively engaged on AI products.
- Collaborate with executive product leaders to grow their individual thought leadership platforms across channels, including social content, press interviews, profile stories, and speaking engagements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with journalists, key partners, and influencers in the technology and business press as well as new media platforms, like podcasts and independent creators.
- Represent Google as a company spokesperson by understanding the intricacies of the broader technology and web ecosystem and Google’s role in this space.
