Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist providing consultations to the business on topics such as performance management, workplace concerns, etc.
- Ability to communicate in English fluently to work with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with cross-functional collaboration and influence.
- Experience in HR, people programs, or other large-scale people related roles.
- Experience coaching and mentoring others.
- Ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis.
- Ability to communicate in French to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Consisting of HR professionals, former consultants, and analysts, the POps team advocates Google's culture and values. They partner with business leaders to help build their organizations and ensure all people decisions are data-driven.As Google expands, it faces growing operational complexities, compliance risks, and cultural nuances unique to different regions. To manage this, HR teams use a structured, location-based approach to deliver support.
The People Consultant works with Googlers, People Partners, and other POps teams. This role provides personalized guidance, support, and solutions across a broad spectrum of People Operations activities, requiring expertise and depth across multiple specialties and organizations.

Responsibilities
- Deliver dynamic consultations around a variety of HR topics aligned to the People Operations (POps) Menu of Services such as performance enablement, team/manager/leader effectiveness, career development, and navigating transitions.
- Contribute to deployment of HR programs and processes for the Canadian market via dynamic consultations.
- Identify key stakeholders to build network and contribute to cross-team collaboration.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of Google-wide HR policies, local/market legal and regulatory knowledge, of Google-wide HR policies and the POps Menu of Services and understand how to navigate the POps ecosystem in order to effectively service Googlers and managers and leaders.
