Senior Technical Program Manager, ASCII

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in Technical Program Management, Software Engineering, or a related role such as technical consulting.
  • Experience with the software development life-cycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, CI/CD, or engineering productivity metrics.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with supply chain systems or processes.
  • Experience with managing AI/ML engineering initiatives.
  • Experience managing cross-functional technical programs from initiation to completion.
  • Experience with managing health and tracking of a portfolio of programs.
  • Expertise in both re-designing processes and deploying supporting automation.
  • Excellent executive presence and ability to influence executive stakeholders.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

With the huge success of Google's products comes a huge growth in demand for compute capacity. Google invests billions of dollars in computers, networks, and data centers. We build the supply chain systems that empower that growth. ASCII works on complex multivariable problems by building reliable and available systems that help optimize cost, availability and reduce human involvement in the alphabet supply chain solutions space. Our end-goal is to build a closed-loop, self-learning system that covers the entire business life-cycle of Supply Planning and Fulfillment, and handles the majority of use-cases, leaving humans to handle with exceptions only.

You will be the primary driver for cultivating a development life-cycle within ASCII that is seamlessly efficient and inherently innovative. You will be responsible for defining the strategy and leading the execution of programs that optimize our development capabilities enhance our development tools, and ultimately accelerate the delivery of high-impact supply chain solutions. You will also support our innovative development of AI/ML solutions in supply chain.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of complex programs, spanning supply planning, execution, and asset management, working across numerous internal teams and external partners.
  • Initiate new software development programs, identifying and delivering features that drive performance, scale, functionality, security, quality, and efficiency.
  • Lead program management AI/ML initiatives for ASCII.
  • Partner with leadership, set the goal and direction for programs, outlining goals, objectives, and defining program controls/governance/standards.
  • Plan, and manage projects, including financial and human resources, quality of software development, risks, schedules, communication plans, and deliverables.
