This team ensures the correct behavior of both external and internal input hardware devices, ensuring that OS events are correctly processed and delivered to the application/sysUI layer.

In this role, you will focus on shipping a great input experience on our devices. You will develop frameworks to make fixing issues easy and catching regressions automatically. You will have built-in and peripheral input devices that are easy to use and work well on user feedback and use it to improve our product. You will also be responsible to build platform user experience for human interface devices working closely with the peripheral partner ecosystem.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams and engineering managers to develop OS features that enables user experience with next generation touch technologies.
  • Write firmware, drivers and interfacing code in C, C++, Objective-C or Python for touch controllers and stylus.
  • Create and execute plans to bring-up, debug and validate designs to achieve functional and performance goals.
  • Design basic software GUI to demonstrate the feature.
  • Present results to both internal and external engineering teams.
