SAP Application Engineer, Supply Chain Logistics

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience implementing, configuring, and customizing SAP Adapter modules, User-Defined Functions and mapping routines.
- Experience in Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP), S4 High-performance Analytic Appliance (HANA).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in full software development lifecycle (analyze, design, build, test, implement, support).
- Experience in integrating with third-party on-premise and cloud-based enterprise applications (SAP, Anaplan, Workday, Callidus, etc.).
- Experience in Performance tuning in SAP Integrations.
- Knowledge about the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
- Familiarity in Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) development concepts, SAP architecture within S4/HANA landscape.

You lead all aspects of web development, requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, ongoing support, and maintenance for both in-house and customer-facing web applications. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of Googlers using UI and functional specs/prototypes as input. You are empowered to act like an owner, take action and innovate to meet user and customer needs.In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain automated solutions that optimize complex, real-world supply chain processes. You will be solving complex, real-world logistical issues at a massive scale.You will be accelerating machine deployments across continents and increasing the resilience of the entire Google fleet.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop and run systems that automate Alphabet’s supply chain.
- Integrate our systems with Alphabet’s internal systems and third-party logistics providers outside of Alphabet.
- Collaborate with developers, logistics operations leads and business systems analysts across Google
- Identify opportunities for improving engineering productivity.
- Explore the applicability of emerging technology to the logistics execution space.
