  • Experience working within DoD or Federal government in program/project management roles.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certifications in GCP and PMP.
  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience driving a large cloud transformation program in commercial or public sector.
  • Excellent, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google Public Sector, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You will also be explaining the team's analyses and recommendations to executives while discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. You will work directly with Google’s most strategic public sector customers on large multi-year transformational engagements underpinned by Google’s Cloud Platform (GCP) to drive value for those customers. You will provide delivery management, consulting, and technical goals to customer engagements while working with Google's cross-functional executives and key technical leaders to oversee the planning and deployment of solutions via Google Cloud Platform. You will establish and lead a strategic planning framework for a program portfolio including direct influence over resourcing decisions, planning cadence, and planning stakeholders.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive large and complex cloud transformation programs for a Department of Defense (DoD) customer.
  • Establish a reliable and visible cadence for program reviews, decision-making, prioritization, and resource stewardship to improve efficiency and create delivery impact.
  • Manage communication of progress/status to client executives, GPS leadership and within the core team.
  • Track, manage, and drive cybersecurity functions for the large program with understanding of Risk Control frameworks.
  • Collaborate across teams internally and externally to identify GCP solutions focused on delivering security outcomes.
