Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • 3 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role overseeing projects.
  • 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience engaging and influencing cross-functional teams in a global organisation and managing stakeholders.
  • Experience building end-to-end solutions either in an infrastructure or product-based team.
  • Experience building and testing scalable systems.
  • Experience in Ads and technology innovation.

With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.

We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers to start with, and partner with other senior leads across the organization (e.g., Youtube Ads, Discover, Gmail etc.) to execute the personalization roadmap.
  • Provide direct technical guidance and mentorship for team members to grow.
  • Cultivate end-to-end thinking, and lead-by-example in setting the right culture for engineering excellence.
  • Balance the development of new components while maintaining existing components that support XXB business growth for Ads.
